Its quite possible that the next industrial revolution will emerge from what we make in our basements and garages! Across the country tinkerers, hobbyists, hackers and D.I.Y. creatives have been uniting in what's been dubbed the "Maker Movement". Through MakerShift, we are hoping to celebrate the innovation of amateurs in Harrisburg, PA while also working to shift the conversation about "Making" toward how it is impacting 21st Century life and work particular in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) Come join the conversation at inspiring venues throughout Midtown where Makers of all ages and abilities will be sharing their creations, giving demonstrations and will talk with you about their work. Venues include Startup HBG; Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC); the Midtown Scholar, Broad Street Market and the Susquehanna Arts Museum (S.A.M.).
