What an amazing year! The 2025-26 school year has come to a close.

From hands-on learning and academic growth to performances, athletics, outdoor education, Jewish experiences, and enrichment opportunities, our students learned, explored, created, and thrived. Every day was filled with meaningful experiences designed to help children grow as learners and as people.

Thank you to our incredible students, faculty, and families for making this such a special year. Have a wonderful summer!

Our Roots and Branches Celebration of Learning was simply beautiful.

It was a reminder of what makes Silver Academy special. Our students don't just learn content, they grow into thoughtful, confident, compassionate young people. They are known, challenged, celebrated, and deeply loved.

If you want to understand what Silver Academy is all about, look at our students. They are our greatest accomplishment. So proud of you, can't wait to see what you do next!

What a day! From relay races and team challenges to cheering each other on and making memories with friends, Field Day was filled with energy, teamwork, laughter, and school spirit.

A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, and families who helped make the day such a success—and to our students, who brought enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and joy to every event.

And, of course, we couldn't have asked for a better ending. We wrapped up Field Day with a Color Run and finished the day exactly the way we hoped: with flying colors.

Shavuot on the Kibbutz was amazing!

Thank you to our remarkable Shinshinim for planning and leading such a joyful celebration, and to our wonderful teachers and staff for bringing the day to life. We are also so grateful to our sponsors whose generosity made this event possible. From the petting zoo to the flower crowns, we were fully engaged all morning.

Thank you to all of the families and community members who joined us to celebrate together.

Wishing everyone a joyful and meaningful Shavuot!

Last week, our students celebrated Lag Ba’Omer Israel style!

We spent the afternoon outside together with a picnic lunch, music, laughter, paper bonfires, and of course, s’mores. Our older students later celebrated with a community bonfire hosted locally, just like they do in Israel!

Judaism is lived through moments like these: outside together, around a fire, building memories, community, and connection.

Chag Lag Ba’Omer Sameach from The Silver Academy!

Today, our students took their learning beyond the classroom and onto the steps of government.

We joined schools from across Pennsylvania at the Capitol with PA Families for Education Choice to stand for educational opportunity and access for all families.

One of our own students spoke, beautifully and passionately, about what our school means to her. She shared how much she values being part of a community where she is known, challenged, and where learning is deeply connected to celebrating Jewish holidays together.

Her words captured something essential about The Silver Academy: that education here is not only about academics, but about belonging, identity, and shared experience.

We are so proud of her, and of all of our students who continue to grow into thoughtful, confident, and engaged young people.

Days like today remind us what education can and should be.

New Life in the BioLab!

Our BioLab elective has been buzzing and chirping with excitement as students witnessed something truly magical: the hatching of 12 baby chicks!

From carefully monitoring temperature and humidity to learning about embryonic development, our students didn’t just observe science. They lived it. Watching each chick break through its shell was a powerful reminder of curiosity, patience, and the wonder of life.

This is what learning looks like at Silver: hands-on, joyful, and deeply connected to the world around us.

Stay tuned. Our newest and fluffiest learners are just getting started!

Yom Ha'Atzmaut was a day of pride here at Silver!

The field was filled with families and community members for a joyful BBQ, blue and white everywhere, kids playing, people connecting, a feeling of belonging. The day carried into an incredible Amazing Race led by our shins, where students ran, solved, laughed, and danced.

Pride here is not abstract. It is built through experience, through community, and through moments that help our students understand they are part of something larger than themselves.

Our students don’t just go to school, they’re excited to learn.

Rooted in Judaic values and guided by strong academics, they’re growing into who they’re meant to be.

Today, we had the honor of welcoming Senator Dave McCormick to The Silver Academy in partnership with TEACH PA and Families for Education Choice PA Families for Education Choice.

He spent time with our students, families, and teachers, and what stood out most to him was the joy in our building. That joy is real. It’s in our classrooms, our relationships, and the way our students show up each day.

We’re proud to share what’s possible in a values-driven Jewish day school and to be part of a broader effort to ensure families can access the education that’s right for their children. We are proud to educate the leaders of tomorrow!
