Still thinking about this beautiful day at Dauphin County Cultural Fest. 🤍

It was an honor for Shree Academy of Arts to be part of a celebration that brought so many cultures, communities, and traditions into one shared space.

Opportunities like this remind us why the arts matter beyond the stage. They help people connect, learn from one another, and experience the beauty of cultures that may be different from their own.

We are grateful to have shared Indian dance with the wider community and to continue being part of spaces that celebrate culture, connection, and belonging.

At Shree Academy, we take our dancing seriously, but ourselves? Not so much!

We train hard, perform with passion, and create a joyful space where everyone can just be themselves (and occasionally run around being total goofballs). Art, heart, and a whole lot of joy - rhythm & giggles included!

Thanks to all our Shree Academy students and families for bringing such wonderful energy and making our picnic a fun and meaningful day together!

It was an honour to perform for the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg.

The performing arts have always been a bridge - connecting communities, weaving through different cultures, and sparking meaningful dialogue. Sharing Alarippu at this event was a reflection of that connection.

To make the occasion even more momentous, Shree Academy’s Esha Vijay helped lead the conference as a WACH intern. Seeing our students step into leadership on global platforms is everything.

Learning from a senior guru like Dr. Anita Vallabh is a rare, cherished experience for our students each year, offering them direct access to an extraordinary artistic lineage. Experiences like these deepen their training, broaden their perspective, and connect them to the living tradition of Bharatanatyam beyond the classroom. We are honoured to facilitate such meaningful encounters that inspire the next generation of dancers to carry the torch forward.

As FIFA comes to a close, we’re reflecting on how special it was for Shree Academy to present our soccer-inspired Bharatanatyam fusion performance.

We were honored to be invited by the One World Festival to perform at Lancaster City’s Soccer Block Party on June 12th. Inspired by the FIFA World Cup game the U.S. played that day, and paying homage to local soccer star Christian Pulisic, we set out to bridge the gap between classical dance and the beautiful game.

Blending the intricate footwork of Bharatanatyam with the movement of football allowed us to create a piece full of rhythm, footwork, and team spirit.
