Join the HCL for a Teen & Adult Zoo Talk about Wildlife Conservation! Sioux Falls Zoo & Aquarium’s Zoo Talk program provides an opportunity to talk with zookeepers and wildlife experts.

Seats are limited and registration is required, so register today! Open to ages 12 and up. You can register at our website (harrisburg.yoursdlibrary.org/calendar) or you can call the library at 605-767-7910.

Looking for a way to beat the heat? Join us on Thursday, June 11 at 1pm for our Family Movie! It's free and fun for the whole family!

Registration is requested but not required. Open to all ages. Those under 8-years-old must be accompanied by an adult or caregiver who is at least 16-years-old. The Harrisburg Community Library will be closed Saturday, June 13 for Harrisburg Days. We hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the Harrisburg Days festivities, and we will be back open for normal hours on Monday, June 15 at 10am.

As always, no fines accrue while we're closed. Thank you!

A reminder to join the HCL and the Harrisburg Disability Awareness Commission to try out the Action TrackChairs from South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks tomorrow at 11am by Lake Ole! Trackchairs® are tracked wheelchairs that provide comfort, stability, and safety for outdoor users whether they are hunting, fishing, or simply looking to get outside in areas they would normally not be able to access.

We will also be hosting our Community Conversation to discuss how we can make the library more accessible for all! So please feel free to stop by, even if you're not taking the TrackChair for a spin!

Join the HCL for a Teen & Adult Craft: Mini Rock Garden on Tuesday, June 9 at 6pm! Participants will be able to craft their own mini rock garden - perfect to brighten up small spaces.

Interested in trying new spices and recipes from around the world? Then join the HCL's Spice of the Month Club! Each month you can sign up to receive a bit of history about the spice, a recipe to try, and a sample of the featured spice (enough for the given recipe!).

The June spice is… cumin!
