The Harrisburg Community Library is a welcoming environment that connects the community to enriching informational, educational, recreational, and entertainment resources. We have a wide array of items (books, dvds, BluRay discs, E-readers, and audiobooks) that can be checked out at no cost to community members. Fun Fact Friday 🥳

Did you know the library now offers Tonie kits for checkout? We have two Tonie kits available - one that features chapter books and one that features picture books and shorter stories. Tonies are a great screen-free way for children and families to enjoy audiobooks!

4th - 8th graders are welcome to join the monthly Robotics Club with Lincoln County 4-H! Build robots, learn block coding, practice teamwork, express your creativity, and HAVE FUN!

The club will meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month from September though May! The club meets at the Harrisburg Community Library from 3:30 - 5 pm.

Registration is required and must be completed before September 16 for students to participate during the 2026 - 2027 school year. The Robotics Club is free and open to those in 4th - 8th grade.

Are you curious about sourdough starters but feel a little overwhelmed about how to start one? Want to learn more about sourdough baking in general? Then you are a perfect fit Teen & Adult Class: Sourdough Starter for Beginners!

Join us on Tuesday, September 8 at 6pm as we dive into sourdough - what it is, how to make a starter, how to care for a starter, and how to make a basic sourdough loaf. The class will include supplies to make your very own sourdough starter to take home. Attendees will also have a chance to win a Sourdough Starter Kit door prize!

This is a free event and is open to ages 12+. Registration is required. You can register on our website at harrisburg.yoursdlibrary.org/calendar.
