🧡 Update on Tes 🧡

Tes is home!

Yesterday, our sweet therapy dog, Tes, was bitten by a snake and received treatment at the vet. We are so thankful that she is improving and is now home!

Tes has several days of rest and recovery ahead of her, and we can’t wait until she is fully recovered and back at HES with our students and staff.

Please continue to keep Tes in your thoughts and prayers as she recovers. She’s one special dog!

We’ve had the BEST few weeks back at school!

Our sweet Pre-K students have been such a perfect addition to our campus, and we are loving getting to know our newest little Kindergarteners, too! Learning is in full swing, routines are coming together, and there are smiles all over HES!

This week, Mrs. Samantha Brown volunteered to help with morning carline, and today we welcomed back our Football Friday team! Thank you to everyone who takes the time to volunteer, open doors, greet our students, and help make their mornings a little brighter. It truly makes a difference!

Our 5th and 6th grade Pee-Wee football teams kick off their season this weekend! We’ll be cheering you on and wishing you the best of luck!

Have the BEST weekend, Hornets! Rest up, enjoy some family time, and we’ll see everyone Monday!

We are looking for student leaders in the Harrisburg School District and hope you'll apply to be a voice for your student body. We launched this during this year's "Back to School Open House" and will be accepting applications through this Friday, August 28th. Applications are available in each school office and/or Google Classroom. We can't wait to work with our new Student Advisory Council!

Congratulations to all of these amazing students across our district on earning exceptional scores! We are so proud of each of you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to doing your very best. Your accomplishments are something to celebrate!

A special congratulations to Reed Collins for her outstanding achievement in ATLAS ELA, William Loveless for his outstanding achievement in ATLAS Math, and Emilio Salazar for his outstanding achievement in ATLAS Science! All three students earned these incredible scores as fourth graders last school year, and we are so proud of the effort and determination they showed in their learning.

Congratulations, Reed, William, and Emilio, on this well-deserved recognition! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish as you continue your elementary journey!
