At youth group tonight first we sang happy birthday to Emmy and then we worshipped outdoors with the rest of the church.

This evening the youth and their parents made and served dinner for the men at the Susquehanna Harbor Safe Haven men's shelter. The menu was chicken & biscuits with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, applesauce, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. And after dinner the youth were bingo callers for several rounds of bingo culminating in a black out round.

At youth group tonight we had a meeting of the minds that "Jesus is our ultimate hope." Life can be bland, and scary, and will eventually be deadly, but after it all for those whose hope is in Jesus there is resurrection. We are unashamed to hope!

There are only two youth group dates left for this school year, May 3rd, and 17th. Also, the youth will be helping with a service project on Thursday, May 7th. We will be helping prepare and serve dinner for the men at Susquehanna Harbor Safe Haven men’s shelter. Meal prep starts at 3:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 5:00 p.m.

Youth Group meets this Sunday, April 19th, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Sholter Hall. Remember to bring your registration forms if you are going to Camp Motley Crew at Camp Penn this summer from July 19th to 24th.

That's a wrap on the youth lock-in. We watched the movie "Ends of the Earth," did an escape room using themes from the movie, had too many snacks, most of us slept (a few talked in the wee hours) we had morning devotions and a great breakfast, and headed home so we can do it again.
