Looking for a way to give back to HRES without rearranging your calendar or budget?

You can help HRES earn extra funding just by grocery shopping! There are 3️⃣ different ways:
🥩 If you have a Harris Teeter VIC Card, you can link your card to the Harris Teeter "Together in Education" program! It is free to do, and you MUST re-link your VIC Card EVERY school year! A portion of every grocery purchase will be donated back to HRES!
🥦 If you shop at Lowes Foods, you can connect your Fresh Rewards number to their "Cart to Class" program and just like Harris Teeter, a portion of every purchase will be donated back to the school!
🥣 No matter where you shop, if you purchase any grocery items with "Box Tops" you can use their free app to scan the barcode and Box Tops for Education will donate back to HRES, as well!

No need for a grocery list or Pinterest recipe... We are back with our first Tasty Tuesday of the 26-27 school year!

Join us next Tuesday, August 25th from 4-8 PM at CiCi's Pizza!
📍 10900 University City Blvd

Not only will you help HRES earn some extra 'dough or the school year BUT every child in attendance will receive a free $5 game card to be used at the on site arcade AND the homeroom with the most students that attend (sign in with your teacher name at the cash register) will win a FREE pizza party!

This year, CiCi's is making Tasty Tuesdays a little more interesting 👀
During any Tasty Tuesday, if there is a team of 2 that attempt AND complete the CiCi's Pizza Challenge (devouring a 28" pizza), HRES will receive an EXTRA $200!

Kicking off the school year with a little friendly competition 👀

Starting TOMORROW, we are doing a PTO Membership Drive to see which homeroom gets the most parents to sign up! The class with the highest membership will win a popsicle party, their homeroom teacher will win an Amazon gift card and every family will be entered to win an HRES Spiritwear Prize Pack! 🎉

Joining the PTO is an awesome way to get involved with our Cowboy community but even better, it’s a way to make sure our HRES staff and students have everything that they need (and want)!

The PTO contributes:
🤠 the RCA House System app for every student
🤠 support for school beautification projects
🤠 professional development opportunities for staff
🤠 staff treats, gifts, luncheons
🤠 Winter Wonderland student event

The halls of HRES were hustling and bustling today as staff continues to prepare for all of our Cowboys to return next week! From meetings and classroom set up, to sorting our new HRES staff (and some of our PTO board) into their houses— it was a busy day! ❤️🧡💛💚💙🖤

Our PTO Hospitality crew welcomed ALL staff back today with Chick-Fil-A breakfast and lunch from Chipotle! They also received personal fans as we get ready kick off a FANtastic school year in this crazy heat 🔥

The Hickory Ridge Elementary School PTO is looking for businesses to participate in our Community Business Partnership Program for our 2026 "Running The Ridge" Fun Run!

In exchange for your sponsorship, you will receive a promotional area on our "Running The Ridge" shirts which will be worn by over 900 students and staff (for increased brand visibility) during our event in September.

The best part? It won't be a one time shirt that gets thrown in a drawer and forgotten about! This year, we will be providing each student and staff member with a T-shirt in their RCA house colors, which means that HRES students and staff will be wearing your company logo and information almost every Friday during the 26-27 school year for our "House Colors Day"!

Oh, and did we mention that your partnership is a tax write off? 🎉 💸

Monday, August 10:
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Grades 1–5, Last Names A–L
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Grades 1–5, Last Names M–Z

Kindergarten Open House will take place on Monday, August 17th from 5:30-6:30 PM

Due to limited campus parking, please strictly adhere to your assigned time slot. Staggering arrival times helps ensure every family has a spot to park!
