🚒🔥 Fire Safety Matters!

Our third, fourth, and fifth grade students welcomed the Harrisburg Fire Department for an important lesson on fire safety! Students learned practical ways to help prevent fires and what to do to stay safe in an emergency.

The firefighters also talked about the growing importance of lithium-ion battery safety. Students learned that damaged or improperly used batteries can become a fire hazard and that devices should be charged with the proper charger, kept away from extreme heat, and unplugged when charging is complete. 🔋⚡

A huge thank-you to the Harrisburg Fire Department for taking the time to help our Cowboys learn how to make safe choices at home and at school! ❤️🚒

📚🤝 Learning to Keep Our Community Safe—Together!

As Mrs. Deaton’s kindergarten and first-grade students wrapped up their reading modules, they reflected on how the books they read taught them different ways to help keep their community safe. One important lesson was the power of working together!

Kindergarten and first-grade friends teamed up for fun teamwork challenges that encouraged communication, problem-solving, cooperation, and encouragement. 💙

What a wonderful way to put their reading lessons into action and celebrate the strength of their classroom community! ⭐️
