🥼🧬Yesterday, Mrs. Koshko’s Science class made models of animals cells with food and candy! They learned about the different cell organelles and what their jobs are, from the cell membrane (the plate rim) to the nucleus (the cookie) the cytoplasm (frosting) and the pretzel sticks (cytoskeleton). They definitely had fun with Science! 🥨

💛 EMS Field Day 2026

This is always an awesome day for our 6th graders! 🎉
Our Marking Period Awards Assembly got an extra spark with student-voted superlatives, plus fun teacher superlatives too! 🏆😄
We wrapped up the celebration with Mrs. Shaffner’s annual butterfly release 🦋✨—the perfect ending to a great day at East Middle!

Ms. Gouse’s 8th grade math classes wrapped up the school year with a hands-on probability activity using a true crowd favorite, Skittles! 🎉🔢 Students analyzed colors, made predictions, calculated probabilities, and had a little fun along the way. Learning never tasted so good! 😄✨

Our 8th graders truly sparkled inside and out at their Semi-Formal on Friday night! 💃🕺 From the smiles to the dancing, it was a night full of fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Meteorologist Ryan Argenti from WGAL News Channel 8 visited Mrs. Koshko’s 6th grade class at Central Dauphin East Middle School to share exciting insight into the world of meteorology! 🌪️☀️

This awesome experience gave our students a deeper look into weather science and inspired conversations about future careers in STEM. 🌎📚 We love bringing real-world learning into our classrooms!

🌞 On Tuesday, our 6th grade Panthers earned a well-deserved PBIS Field Trip to Adams Ricci, and it was park-tastic! 🏞️🐾
Students rotated through 6 fun-filled stations throughout the day, building memories, teamwork, and smiles every step of the way. 😄

It’s safe to say our Panthers seized the day and made the most of every moment outside! 💙💛

Students proudly represented their heritage and cultures through traditional clothing, flags, and by sharing meaningful facts and traditions from around the world, and our kiddos did not disappoint! ❤️✨

Our school community came together to honor the diversity that makes East so special. Central Dauphin East Middle School is recognized as one of the most diverse middle schools in Pennsylvania, ranking 4th in the state and 81st nationally.
