De Todo Un Poco

I got to do simultaneous and relay translation today for a global peace building workshop. It was a rewarding assignment and reports of participants being highly satisfied with my work followed.

I won't throw the government agency under the bus, but a recent survey form was released that must have been translated by machine. The birth month options were "enero, febrero, marzo, abril, puede, ..."

Do better. Hire a professional.

If I haven't been posting much, it's been because teaching and interpreting have been keeping me busy.

I'm also pursuing certification as a Spanish interpreter with the Pennsylvania Courts, and I was recently hired to work in national immigration courts.
