🍎 Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Our staff has been hard at work getting classrooms ready, preparing for our students, and making sure everything is set for an amazing first day! We were so busy getting ready that we forgot to take many pictures 😄—but we did manage to capture a few moments from Kindergarten Transition Day and our staff professional development!

The building is ready, our staff is excited, and now all we need are our students! 🏫✨

We can’t wait to welcome everyone tomorrow and kick off a great school year at Lake Forest South Elementary! 💙

A brand new school year is here, and our Admin team couldn’t be more excited to welcome back our Spartan Littles, amazing staff, and wonderful families!

Here’s to a year filled with learning, growing, new friendships, big dreams, and exciting challenges. May we fill our days with curiosity, creativity, kindness, and plenty of Spartan pride!

Let’s make 2026–2027 our best year yet! We’ve missed you South Spartans, and we simply cannot wait to see you! 💙

🚍 Transportation will not be provided.
👨‍👩‍👦 Parents must attend with their student

This is for our Kindergarten students only. This gives our new Little South Spartans an opportunity to practice school routines to help reduce first-day anxiety!

Girls on the Run is a fun and empowering program that helps girls build confidence, friendships, and healthy habits while staying active and working toward a goal together.

Little South Spartans - listen up! We have a transportation update for you!

Please feel free to reach out to the front office if you have any questions. We're always here to help!

Greeting Spartans!

Families can find their child’s bus information in two ways:
1. Check your email for a message from
[email protected]. The email will include your child’s:

o Bus stop location
o Pick-up time
o Drop-off time

You will receive two emails—one in English and one in Spanish. Emails will be sent at 4:00 p.m. on:

o Thursday, August 27
o Friday, August 28
o Monday, August 31
o Tuesday, September 1

If your email address has changed, please contact your child’s school.

2. Check the Parent Portal (Home Access Center) in Infinite Campus. If you need help signing up, please contact your child’s school. We encourage all families to sign up for the Parent Portal.

On the first day of school, please have your child at the bus stop 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. Bus pick-up and drop-off times may change slightly before school begins.
