🌿 Nature Child-Led Exploration Summer Camp

🕙 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
👧🧒 Ages 5–8
This is a drop-off program designed to provide children with a child-led, nature-based learning experience focused on exploration, creativity, and hands-on discovery.
Children will be encouraged to follow their interests through outdoor play, nature exploration, sensory experiences, process art, storytelling, loose parts play, and collaborative group activities.
Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, our property includes 10 gated acres & access to Sweet Run Stream, providing opportunities for supervised nature observation and exploration. Children will also have the opportunity to safely observe and learn about the animals that call our homestead home.
Weather permitting, campers will enjoy nature walks, stream exploration, gardening, water play, and open-ended learning experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, independence, and a connection with the natural world.
This program supports social-emotional development, creativity, problem-solving, and active learning through play-based, child-centered experiences.
Children should be comfortable with:
• Outdoor play in all types of weather
• Nature exploration
• Animal interactions
Please send:
• Weather-appropriate clothing (extra clothes!)
• Water bottle
• Boots, if needed
• Sunscreen
• Bug spray
• Hat/ bug net/sunglasses
You may pack a lunch, or lunch and a snack can be provided.
