Flood Insurance is a tricky area for adjusting. The 6-20 license legally allows you to adjust any loss--but, since all Flood insurance is handled by FEMA, adjusters need FEMA certification.

Atlantic Storm Season has begun
Remember to check your gear, your license, and your certifications. Florida DFS site has the information you need to make sure you eligibility is set for the 2024 season.

The tropical storm was strengthening rapidly as several Caribbean islands were under a hurricane watch. Some forecast models suggest it could intensify into a Category 3 storm or higher.

Remember, the rules for public adjusters change more often than for All Lines adjusters. Keeping up with changes are the responsibility of the adjuster.

The first step to becoming a public adjuster is to get the 6-20 All Lines license. The 3-21 Apprentice program was discontinued few years ago.
