Gleb is 21 year old UTRGV Chess player that defeated the reigning world champion Gukesh Dommaraju at the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Uzbekistan on October 8, 2026.

Our Treasure Hills Pirates did amazing at the HCISD blackout tournament at Dishman Elementary!

Our K-1 pirate competed solo and won 1st place!
Way to go Onyemuachi Obinwanne!

Our K-3 pirates placed 6th!

🔔 **Important Sign-In Reminder:**
Students **must be signed in every time they attend Night Chess.** Parents/guardians will need get down to **scan the QR code at the entrance** to complete the sign-in process.

This weekend our K-1 kiddos competed with our K-3 team in the Regionals Tournament at Harlingen South High School!
They earned a 10th place trophy overall in the Championship Division!

Our K-5 team also brought home a 14th place trophy in the Championship Division.

We are beyond proud of our team for competing against the best of the best, and not leaving empty handed! We are so proud of all you of you!

We would like to show our appreciation for Jason’s Deli-Harlingen for hosting our spirit night in September. Unfortunately, we didn’t raise enough funds during our spirit night for a donation. Regardless, the manager Lupe, has offered to feed our team at Regionals this coming January! 🏴‍☠️🧡 We appreciate all your support for our team at Regionals by providing meals to our little pirates! ♟️
