At N2NCU, we believe biblical education should do more than give someone information. It should change the way they live and equip them to make a difference.

Head: We bring biblical knowledge to people who didn't have access to it before. We help students understand Scripture, develop their theology, and grow in their knowledge of God.

Heart: As people encounter God's Word, it begins to change the way they think, lead, see themselves, and see the people around them.

Hands: When people have biblical knowledge and their hearts are being transformed, they're equipped to do something with what they've learned. They can teach, disciple, lead, serve their churches and communities, and pour what they've learned into someone else.

We don't want to simply give people more knowledge. We want to see God's Word transform hearts and equip people to put what they've learned into action.

We don't study Scripture just to know more. We study it because what we learn should eventually show up in the way we live.

Sometimes the most important question after reading a passage isn't just, “What did I learn?” but “What does this look like in my life?”

If Scripture talks about forgiveness, what does forgiveness look like in a difficult relationship? If it talks about serving others, where do we have an opportunity to serve? If it challenges the way we think about something, are we willing to let it change our perspective?

Understanding Scripture is important. But there comes a point when we have to move from knowing what it says to actually living it. What we learn from God's Word should make a difference in how we live.

The goal of studying God's Word isn't simply to know more about the Bible. It's to let God's Word change the way we live.

We can listen to sermons, study Scripture, and gain knowledge, but if that knowledge never changes our lives, something is missing.

The Word of God was never meant to simply fill our heads. It is meant to shape our hearts, guide our choices, and move us to action.

The God that we worship is delighted. He is not sad and grumpy. He is a happy God. God’s purpose in creation was to come into relationship with that which He had created and to bring forth His delight out from the earth. When we glorify God we are delighting in the fact that He delights in us.

The story of the Old Testament spans a very long period of time, and there are many cultures represented. Even the people of God had shifting cultures throughout the time we read about them from being nomads to slaves to rulers. It is difficult to understand how all of this could fit together into a common theme, and yet it does beacuse it has a common author, God who breathed into the men who wrote the Scripture.

When we read the Old Testament, we are seeing a story unfold of God's journey with Man that spans much time and many cultures. It's important to understand the context and issues of the day when you study this part of the Bible. We believe that biblical education should lead to action. That’s why every semester at N2NCU includes the Practical Lab, which consists of two parts: Ministry Hours and Bible Reading.

Through Ministry Hours, students put what they’re learning into practice by completing at least 10 hours of service in their church or community each semester. There are many ways to fulfill ministry hours, such as serving at church, helping a friend, or volunteering in the community. Through every act of service, students are learning what it means to follow Jesus by loving and serving others.

The Bible Reading Plan helps students build a consistent habit of spending time in God’s Word. Each week, students follow a guided reading plan through selected chapters in both the Old and New Testaments.

Whether they are part of a Local Training Program or N2NCU Online, the goal is the same: to equip disciples who don’t just learn about God’s Word but consistently spend time in it and live it out.

Because ministry isn’t only something we study. It’s something we do.
