Hey, Panther Choir Families! 🐾 Our Choir Department is excited to host a special Choir Retreat for our current choir members! This will be a fun afternoon filled with games, laughter, teamwork, and, of course, 🍕 pizza!

🎉🐾 PEP RALLY FUN! 🐾🎉

We kicked off our first pep rally of the school year with big energy, lots of laughter, and Panthers pride!🖤💛

Musical Chairs had everyone on the edge of their seats, and our students were definitely NOT short on cheer! 📣🙌 The excitement, school spirit, and enthusiasm were contagious!

What a FUN way to start the year! Let’s keep that Panther spirit going all year long! 🐾🖤💛

To wrap up their first week, Ms. C. Acosta and Ms. J. Tamayo challenged their scientists to 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱! 🐸🛟

Students strategized, developed a plan, practiced 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, and worked together through cooperation and problem-solving. 🧠🤝

Sometimes, revisiting an old favorite is the perfect way to create 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀! 💛🖤🐾

Ms. E. Rodriguez’s Art Class teamed up with our Life Skills department! 🖌️ Students from Ms. Ibarra and Ms. Villarreal’s classes used their 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 to decorate pencils and apples! ✏️🍎

The result? A beautifully decorated 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹! 🎨💛

Calling all singers, actors, and dancers! Auditions for the HCISD Middle School Musical - The Addams Family - are coming soon and are open to all students!
Come be part of this creepy and kooky musical adventure.
Students interested in auditioning should stop by the front office for an audition packet or scan the QR codes in the flyer posted online.

🐾🖤💛 What a GREAT first week of school! 💛🖤🐾

We laughed, we smiled, we learned, and we celebrated! 🎉📚

We even celebrated our "A" rating with cookies because we are ALL SMART COOKIES! 🍪⭐️

It’s been such a fun first week, and we’re so proud of our Panthers for showing up, working hard, and making the most of every moment!

Here’s to a school year filled with learning, laughter, celebrations, and Panther pride! 🐾🖤💛

⭐️ A LITTLE VISIT, A LOT OF PANTHER PRIDE! ⭐️

Yesterday, Dr. Kortan, Dr. Reyes, and Cindy Castillo popped in to congratulate our Vela campus on earning an A rating! 🖤💛

We are so grateful for your encouragement, support, and for taking the time to celebrate this accomplishment with our Panther family. An A is a TEAM effort, and we appreciate having leaders who cheer us on along the way! 🐾

🍩 DONUT you know how A-MAZING our Vela team is?! 🍩

This morning, we treated our amazing staff to celebrate earning an A rating last year! ⭐️🖤💛

Our A rating was a TEAM effort, and we are so proud of every staff member who played a part in making it happen. From the classroom to the front office, cafeteria, halls, and beyond—this achievement belongs to ALL of us! 🐾
