HCISD Music Department The HCISD Music Department is committed to providing quality Music Education for students in Grades These options are available to them through the 12th grade.

The HCISD Music Department is committed to providing quality Music Education for students in Grades K through 12. All elementary students have one general music class per week taught by a certified music specialist. Once in 6th grade, students may choose to join band, orchestra, or choir. Middle School and High School band, choir, and orchestra teachers are also certified and have specialized in t

he area of expertise in which they are teaching. We are proud and very fortunate to have an award-winning music department! Each year, our ensembles participate in Region, UIL, and TMEA competitive events. And, each year HCISD proudly produces outstanding results. This is evidence of the quality music instruction students receive in our schools.

Congratulations!!

📣TCDA All State Results are in and we are happy to announce that two students from the Memorial Middle School Choir program were selected as All State Musicians!

6th grade student Pearl Jennings will be performing with the TCDA State Elementary 5th/6th grade Honor Choir & 8th grade student Lilliana De Los Santos will be performing with the TCDA All State Middle School/Junior High Choir this summer in San Antonio, TX. We are Raider Nation PROUD of these kiddos! 👏🏼🎶❤️🤍

We’re incredibly proud of seven talented HCISD students who earned a spot at the TMEA All-State level, one of the highest honors in Texas music education. Their hard work, dedication, and passion truly shine and reflect the strength of our fine arts programs.
