I’ve been working on something new, and I’m finally ready to give you a little peek at what’s coming.

My colleague Barbara Britain and I have been putting together an event. Except the more we’ve talked about it, the more we’ve realized we don’t want it to feel like an event at all.

We want it to be an experience.

We’re calling it "The Powerful Woman".

It’s for women who want more out of life—more confidence, more fulfillment, more direction, and a greater sense that they’re intentionally creating their lives instead of simply moving through them.

Sometimes we feel stuck or lost. Sometimes life just hasn’t turned out quite the way we imagined. And sometimes everything is perfectly fine—but there’s still that little voice saying, “Is this really all I want?”

Barbara and I want to create a day where women can explore those questions.

We’ll go beyond information and motivation and share practical methods and tools for discovering who you really are, what you truly want, what may be getting in your way, and how to begin creating what comes next.

We’re still putting all the pieces together, but before we get too far, I’d love to know what you think.

Does The Powerful Woman sound like something you’d be interested in?

Comment YES or MAYBE or send me a message, and I’ll make sure you’re among the first to hear the details.

Here’s to discovering what’s possible,
Remi

We found it.

Or at least I think we did. ❤️

My husband and I recently spent time in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and it checked nearly every box on our retirement wish list.

Mountains. Water. Four seasons. Nature. Great food. Lovely people.

As we drove around imagining our future there, I pictured hiking, gardening, traveling and having the freedom to enjoy our days however we choose.

However, It's a bit more humid than I would prefer in the summer. Maybe it's a good time to travel!

Then I had a thought:

All the financial planning in the world won't guarantee that future if we don't have the health to enjoy it.

We spend so much time talking about retirement savings, but maybe we need to talk more about our retirement health account.

Every walk.

Every strength workout.

Every good night's sleep.

Every nourishing meal.

Every moment we take to manage our stress.

Every relationship we nurture.

Every bit of joy we allow into our lives.

They're all deposits.

We can't guarantee good health. But we can intentionally build resilience and increase our capacity to enjoy the years ahead.

So here's the question I've been asking myself:

What can I do today that my future self will someday thank me for?

I wrote more about this on the Renovated Realities blog this week. If you're starting to think about what you want the next chapter of your life to look like, I'd love for you to read it.

And tell me: What are you training for?

Have you ever had a dream that stayed with you long after you woke up?

I had one Sunday night that I haven't been able to shake.

In it, I was talking about how I didn't want to do all the sales and marketing that was expected of me. I remember saying it would be easier to just get a part-time job. By the way, I was laying on the floor talking to a cat.

Then someone who felt like my higher self, but presented as my boss, walked in and said,

"You are more than this. I expect more from you."

Ouch.

But not because it felt harsh. Because it felt true.

Later in the dream, another presence said,

"You are made up of the divine, heart, and humility."

I've been thinking about those words all week.

Whether dreams come from our subconscious, our spirit, somewhere beyond us—or all of the above—I think they sometimes remind us of what we've quietly known all along.

Maybe you've been putting off taking care of yourself.

Maybe you've been avoiding a conversation.

Maybe you've been sitting on a dream because the work to get there feels overwhelming.

Can I remind you of something today?

You are more than this.

Not because who you are today isn't enough.

But because there's still so much beautiful potential waiting to be lived.

💛 I'd love to know...

Where do you think dreams come from?

And has one ever changed the way you saw your life?

You don't have to wait for January to begin again.

A few weeks ago, I shared that my word for the year is Intentional, and I admitted something that wasn't easy to say.

I hadn't been nearly as intentional about building my business as I wanted to be.

That realization could have easily turned into guilt.

Instead, I chose to let it become a turning point.

Over the past few weeks, I've created my Becoming You coaching program, redesigned my website to focus on speaking and workshops, and set a clear 12-month vision for where I want this business to go.

I've also made progress in another area that's been years in the making—my health. After years of struggling with Hashimoto's, hormones, and feeling like my body wasn't responding the way everyone said it should, I'm down 17 pounds. More importantly, I'm beginning to trust my body again.

None of those changes happened because life suddenly became easier.

They happened because I started making one intentional decision after another.

If you've been waiting for the "perfect" time to make a change, consider this your reminder:

You don't need a new year. You just need a new decision.

❤️ I'd love to hear from you.

What's one intentional choice you're making before July comes to an end?

One intentional choice at a time. 🌻

Oh and hey...I wrote a blog about this if you'd like to keep reading. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Do you struggle to say no?

I used to think boundaries were about getting someone else to change.

They're not.

Healthy boundaries aren't about controlling other people's behavior. They're about deciding what you will do when someone crosses a line.

That lesson changed my life.

A couple of years ago, I found myself trying to save someone I loved from alcoholism. I begged. I pleaded. I made demands.

Nothing changed.

Because asking isn't a boundary.

A boundary requires two things:
✨ Clear communication.
✨ A consequence you're actually willing to follow through on.

The biggest surprise?

Setting boundaries didn't just change my relationship—it changed me.

I stopped trying to control what I couldn't control.

I started protecting my peace.

I remembered who I was.

And boundaries aren't just for difficult relationships.

Sometimes they sound like:
🤍 "No, I can't take that on."
🤍 "I'm protecting my weekend."
🤍 "I'm choosing rest instead of guilt."
🤍 "That isn't mine to carry."

Every time you honor a healthy boundary, you're telling yourself:

My needs matter, too.

💛 What's one boundary you're working on right now?

Curiosity is one of my top five character strengths. I love getting to the root of the matter over coffee. My questions aren’t meant to be a busy body…they are for genuine curiosity.

So tell me publicly or in a DM. I’d love to know what’s on your mind.

Mondays seem like a good day to check in on the ole wellness/weight loss progress.

I started the GLP-1 tirzepatide shots 4 months ago. I’ve increased my dose twice to try to get some consistent weight loss.

I added consistent exercise about 3 weeks ago. With at least two days of strength training. This has given me more consistent energy. Bonus! SeniorShape Fitness is probably my favorite YouTube channel for exercise. She offers a great mix of exercising. It’s low impact cardio and strength training.

I focus on protein when I do eat. Food has lost most of its intrigue most days. Though some days I want to eat all of the food. I do about a 15 hour fast. I add collagen and creatine to my morning coffee.

Last week I joined a program that my insurance offers for weight loss to prevent diabetes through TeleDoc. They sent me a scale and blood pressure monitor. The app requires you to track your food, weigh and check blood pressure daily. I may be way under eating. I will meet with a coach connected to the program next week. I haven’t gotten much guidance so far, so hopefully the coach will shed some light.

All of this to say I’m officially down 15 pounds. Only 36 to go to reach my first goal. Once I reach that, we’ll see how I feel.

Now, if I can just figure out my sleep. I received my CPAP machine. I’ve tried to use it the last two nights. It annoys me greatly, so I haven’t made it more than an hour yet. My sleep rating according to my Garmin…74. I sleep like s**t. Sleep used to be one of my favorite pastimes, now, I almost dread it. I get up at least twice a night and I toss n turn all night. Progesterone hasn’t helped. Magnesium…melatonin…CBD…minimal help. Tylenol PM doesn’t do much. Trazadone helps sometimes, but I don’t want to take it. If you have any magical tips, please share them. It’s so frustrating.

✨ Introducing Becoming You ✨

I've been quietly working on something that feels very close to my heart.

It's called Becoming You.

Over the years, I've noticed a common theme among the women I talk to.

They've spent decades taking care of everyone else.

Building careers.

Raising families.

Supporting spouses.

Showing up for friends.

Serving their communities.

And somewhere along the way, they lost sight of themselves.

Or maybe they never had the chance to discover who they were in the first place.

Then midlife arrives.

Life changes.

The kids grow up.

Careers shift.

Relationships evolve.

And a question starts to surface:

Who am I now?

What do I want?

What brings me joy?

What matters to me?

Where do I want to go from here?

Those questions can feel overwhelming when you've spent years focused on everyone else's needs.

That's why I created Becoming You.

A coaching program designed to help women slow down, tune out the noise, and explore who they are today.

Together we'll uncover your strengths, values, passions, dreams, and priorities.

We'll explore what energizes you, what drains you, and what a joyful, meaningful next chapter could look like.

Because midlife isn't the end of the story.

For many women, it's the first opportunity to intentionally create a life that feels like their own.

❤️ If this speaks to you, send me a DM with the word BECOMING and I'll share the details.

This week I've had two conversations with women facing very different circumstances, but both were asking the same question:

Who am I now?

One had lost a spouse.

The other had lost a role that had defined much of her adult life.

Different situations. Same feeling.

When a major chapter ends—retirement, divorce, widowhood, a career change, an empty nest, or even a move that takes you away from everything familiar—it can feel like the rug has been pulled out from under you.

Suddenly, you're not quite sure who you are without the role you've played for so long.

One woman told me she didn't know how to be social without her husband because he had always been "their" voice.

Another realized she'd spent years participating in activities other people enjoyed and wasn't sure what she actually liked to do.

I suspect many of us can relate.

The good news?

You don't have to have all the answers right away.

Sometimes rebuilding starts with curiosity.

✨ What have you always wanted to try?

✨ What did you love doing as a child?

✨ What sounds interesting, even if you're not sure you'll be good at it?

For me, it was taking a solo road trip, learning to play the drums, and reconnecting with my creative side.

Resilience isn't just about surviving hard things.

It's also about rediscovering joy.

It's about giving yourself permission to explore, experiment, and become.

Maybe the question isn't:

"Who am I without that role?"

Maybe it's:

"Who am I becoming now?"

❤️ I'd love to hear from you. What is one thing you've always wanted to try?
