WHEN you water is very important during these hot, hot summer months! ☀️🌳

Do you think your lawn is a skillet of sizzling fajitas? Then why would you water it during the day?🤔

Watering during the hottest parts of the Texas day leads to:

💧Water waste: about 50% of the water evaporates as the soil is not cool enough to absorb it.

🔎Scorching: the water droplets on the grass act like magnifying glasses intensifying sunlight, leading to brown patches

And, unfortunately, drought conditions strain our water resources even further!

Cities across Texas like Laredo, San Marcos, San Antonio, and Blanco are asking Texans to limit their water use during this time of drought. Watering in the early morning or late evening is the most efficient way for your landscape to get a full drink.

Here’s how we’re doing our part:

With (Texas Water Action Collaborative) we’re matching businesses and funders to conservation projects that benefit Texas’s natural resources and help our partners continue their impactful work in conservation.

TxWAC is helping conserve one of our most precious natural resources— WATER!

Since 2021, we’ve activated over $7M in new funding for on the ground conservation!

We spent the spring partnering with Texas A&M Forest Service on their Re-Leaf project. This is a great video showing the impact in the city of Alamo!

So great working with all the cities in the Valley! 😃🌳
