✨ 7 Years. Still Learning. Still Shaking. Still Moving the World.
Today marks my 7th ZINversary, and I can't help but reflect on how much this journey has evolved.
For years, many of you knew me as a very visible, very loud presence in our community...always promoting, always celebrating, always showing up. This past year has looked a little different. I've been teaching more quietly, focusing less on being seen and more on being present, purposeful, and impactful where I'm needed most.
But make no mistake... the mission hasn't changed.
I'm still learning. 💜
I'm still shaking. 💃🏻
And I'm still moving the world. 🌎
This year, that movement has taken me beyond my local dance floor, from sharing movement and inclusion through BAAM in New Jersey to contributing to programs at Cornell University in New York. Different places, different audiences, same heart.
What I'm most grateful for, though, isn't where this journey has taken me, it's who I've shared it with.
To my colleagues: thank you for your support, respect, professionalism, and for creating spaces where people can thrive.
To every participant who has ever stepped into one of my classes: thank you for trusting me with your time, your energy, your vulnerability, and your joy. Whether you've danced with me once or hundreds of times, you've been part of this story.
And while this season has looked different, my love for teaching hasn't changed one bit. If the right opportunity comes along, I'm absolutely open to bringing the music, energy, and connection back to an in-person class here at home. There's something special about sharing a room, a playlist, and a whole lot of smiles with a local community. 🥰
Seven years later, I know more than ever that movement is about so much more than fitness. It's about connection. Confidence. Community. Belonging.
Here's to continuing to learn, continuing to grow, and continuing to move the world, whether that's across the country or right here in my own backyard...one song, one smile, and one step at a time. 👟✨
