Back to Medcomp. Back to the PICC portfolio you know!

We’re continuing our Infusion Relaunch Series by reintroducing Pro-PICC® and Valved Pro-PICC® to the Medcomp® portfolio, now available direct in the U.S.

The Pro-PICC® is a power-injectable PICC available in single, dual, and triple-lumen configurations, with 3F–6F sizes and 55 cm or 60 cm lengths. Product features include white depth markings, reduced taper, and printed identification indicating maximum flow rates for contrast injection.

The Valved Pro-PICC® is also available in single, dual, and triple-lumen configurations, with 4F–6F sizes and 55 cm or 60 cm lengths. It incorporates valve technology with labeled extensions, saline-only flush, clamp-free extensions, and a 5 cc/sec at 300 psi injection rating.

Both products are now available direct from Medcomp in the U.S. only.

To wrap up last week's Core Week, team members from Medcomp and Martech Medical at our Harleysville, PA location enjoyed a special visit from The Hickory Stick mobile ice cream truck in celebration of the upcoming National Ice Cream Day.

From ice cream and water ice to gelato and all the toppings, it was the perfect way to bring everyone together for a well-deserved break and celebrate another successful Core Week.

At Medcomp and Martech Medical, we know that a strong company culture is built through the people who make it possible every day. Taking time to connect, recognize one another, and enjoy moments like these is just one of the many ways we invest in our teams.

We're proud to announce the publication of a new peer-reviewed study from the Medcomp clinical team in "Hemodialysis International".

"Determinants of 90-Day Infection Risk After Tunneled Dialysis Catheter Placement: Patient, Device, and Procedural Factors in a Large Real-World Dataset" examines more than 47,000 tunneled hemodialysis catheter insertions to evaluate the relationship between patient, procedural, and device-related factors associated with 90-day infection-related events.

Congratulations to our authors George Miller, Rukhaiya Fatima, Emma Albrecht, and Madalyn Warden on this important contribution to vascular access research.

April has been a busy and productive month for our team at Medcomp!! ✈️

This week, we had the opportunity to participate in both the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) in Canada and the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) in Kentucky—taking place simultaneously. These events provided valuable opportunities to connect with clinicians and industry leaders, exchange insights, and continue important conversations around innovation and patient care.

As those meetings wrap up, we’re excited to continue the momentum as WOCOVA kicks off today in Valencia, Spain where our team will be engaging with the global vascular access community.
