The amazing homeschool program that my son Gabriel attends is building a new classroom onto the beautiful barn that serves as their school building. The children participate in all of the hands-on elements including building a wood fired pizza oven and an auditorium to show their play. Thank you for donating to the build!

Save the Date! Rhythm of Cacao: Community Dance & Campfire Cookout at Marbletown Multi-Arts in Stoneridge, NY

In two weeks, Rhythm of Cacao will take place at the beautiful Kiva 4-7pm on June 16th. Ceremonial cacao with Mat Chandler, somatic sensing with Ruthie Frasier, DJ sets by Jordan Walker (Wisdom Working, Upstate NY) and Mat Chandler (Rhythm of Cacao, Guatemala).

This will be an inter-generational event! Bring your children (or Grandpas!) for a potluck cook-out around the campfire outside with a proper get-down happening inside! Save the date! Ticketing information to come...

I haven’t posted ANYTHING on social media in so long. I appreciate those of you still creating touching, authentic posts about life and family, but I find myself very hesitate to put anything up on these platforms.

But this morning I felt inspired to reach out. Not to promote EITHER side of some hot-button issue, but to put my energy toward a fresh new tolerant way of us speaking together.

I don’t agree with RFK Jr. on everything, but I do endorse his values and the way he works with people. This 30 min video is worth a watch for those who don’t know much about his independent run for president. And it would be especially useful for those who have simply written him off as a conspiracy theorist.

If you want a better option than the same two old choices in November, watch this film. It will tell you who Bobby Kennedy Jr. really is.

How and where we enter our birth place on the globe draws in characteristics of heredity and our place of culture. We may consider that the task of education is to free us from both these potential limitations.

For the “I” to free itself requires a journey into self-management and on to self-leadership. During this process, the “I” undergoes countless iterations, often by encountering resistance. Recognizing the effectiveness of this journey can be seen in the practical results of individual effort.

The “I” may be considered to be undergoing a ‘polishing’ into the skill of self-leadership. Our emerging “I” shows itself in the world as a signature in the practical tasks that we perform skillfully through our vision and imagination, undertaken in freedom.

The talk will draw insights from Goethean phenomenology, Rudolf Steiner’s Anthroposophy and Science [GA234] and Theosophy [GA9], to inform the journey from limitation to potential.

True empathy is a radical act. It is a radically human act. Empathy strikes at the self-centeredness guiding our current society and its economic structures. It is each individual's personal responsibility to develop a real and working empathy for the other. Such awakened thoughts and feelings inevitably lead to active participation in a new social ethic - the "Beloved Community" that Dr. King spoke about and the lessons of Love that all great human beings do their best to learn and teach.
