We’re back with a new spring season of outdoor classes!
We think we could all use fresh air and sunshine, and we’re eager to touch grass.

As we approach winter, we must remind ourselves of winter’s unique gifts. It’s a season that strengthens children’s bodies, supports emotional regulation, and builds resilience. Time outdoors in colder months boosts immunity, improves mood, supports healthy sleep, and nurtures confidence as children learn to adapt, explore, and play with the changing landscape.
For over a decade, we’ve led families through outdoor learning inspired by the Danish forest school tradition, where children thrive in the fresh air, through movement, and hands-on exploration.
Join us this winter as children build resilience, joy, and health in nature.
The outdoors gives children space to move their bodies, challenge their senses, and discover what they’re capable of. In winter, the quiet beauty and slower pace of the natural world help children focus, self-regulate, and deepen their relationship with the environment—and with themselves.

🌿 ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD'S EXPLORATION AND IMAGINATION 🌿
Join us Thursday (10am) or Saturday (10:30am) in the North Woods of Central Park for Forest Fun!
Today’s society often neglects the importance of risk for children’s learning and development. A culture of fear leads us to underestimate what children are capable of doing, creating an even more “dangerous” learning environment, where children do not have the possibility to learn, by experience, how to stay safe.
At Forest Kids we teach kids to hike, climb, jump, identify plants (including poison ivy!), and much more! By teaching kids about calculated risks and risk assessment, they are able to safely explore and expand during outdoor play!

🌿 JOIN FOREST KIDS AND MAKE MUD SOUP MAGIC! 🌧️
At Forest Kids we turn lemon into lemonade by turning rainy days into forest fun! This has been a rainy and cold Spring to be sure, but that doesn't stop us at Forest Kids! Kids love to make mud soup, dig for worms, catch rain drops, paint with chalk, and much more in the rain! When you get your kids out and abou, they get more used to being outside in any weather-- then those gray days become easier to navigate.
Join us rain or shine during our Thursday morning (10am) or Saturday morning (10:30am) classes. We offer prorated seasonal, monthly, or drop in options!
