Through the teacher grants, the district will have new decodable resources to increase student fluency and phonics skills as well as their reading confidence. A wide variety of literature titles for the Battle of the Books in the middle school were secured for this year!

Congratulations to our PK Teachers, Cady Thygesen, Bonnie Cairney, and Alison McElroy, for receiving Teacher Grants to use in their PK classrooms. Between their three classrooms, students will benefit from new sensory toys, and classroom items to build fine motor skills, oral language, and vocabulary. All of these items provide high engagement and establish the path for well-balanced learning!

Congratulations to Kara Schaben, High School Family and Consumer Sciences, and Nolan Heese, Middle School STEM, for receiving teacher grants to support their classroom for the 2026-2027 school year.

Congratulations to our third-grade team for receiving a Teacher Grant for an outdoor classroom space. In conjunction with an additional grant fund, the third-grade outdoor classroom will be receiving new outdoor furniture, dynamic classroom features, and updated landscaping. The Teacher Grant cycle takes place each Spring.

The third grade team said, "This project will create a dynamic environment that supports diverse learners, promotes curiosity, and strengthens both academic understanding and collaboration skills across all four third grade classrooms."
