Mrs. O'Neil-Walters' 5th-grade class did an amazing job with their science or math Career Museum. Students worked hard and were ecstatic to share their projects with the school. Great job Silver Stars!

Hello Skipcha Families,

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! There will be no school tomorrow. As you enjoy time with family and friends, we encourage everyone to take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in the United States military.

As a reminder, students should not bring backpacks to school this week. All student belongings were sent home last week.

1st–4th Grade Academic Award Ceremonies will take place throughout the day. These ceremonies are invitation-only, and invitations were sent home on Thursday.

5th Grade Celebration

⏰ 8:30–9:30 AM

This celebration is open to all 5th-grade students and their family members. To help us move visitors into the cafeteria quickly and safely, we recommend bringing only essential items such as your keys and ID.

Please note that our campus will remain closed for lunches and classroom parties on the last day of school.

Skipcha Families: Field Day is tomorrow! 🥳
Due to rain and ants in grassy areas, some stations have been moved indoors or onto pavement. Please review the attached schedules/maps carefully.

⭐ Students should wear Field Day shirts or grade-level colors. ⭐ Bring a towel, labeled water bottle, extra clothes, and wear closed-toe shoes (Crocs in sports mode only).
⭐ Sunscreen should be applied at home.

Parents may observe outdoor activities only. Only approved parent volunteers wearing YELLOW vests may enter the building.

Pre-K-1st Grade Field Day ends at 11:00 AM and all stations are outside.
Grades 2-5 will rotate through stations all day.
Numbers on maps represent two classrooms grouped together.

🍧 Kona Ice will be available.
🎒 No backpacks allowed during the last week of school.

⭐ Please send students to school dressed in their Field Day clothing. If possible, students should wear their Field Day shirt or grade-level color.

🍧 Kona Ice and the Chaparral High School Soda Shop will be available for purchase during the event.

🧹 Around 2:05 PM, we will begin cleaning up the Field Day areas and surrounding grounds as we work together to keep Skipcha shining bright!
