The Subhani Family Clubhouse, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas is excited to partner with the Harker Heights Police Department for their Annual Health Fair this Saturday, May 16th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Harker Heights Library!

We encourage our club families and community members to stop by this FREE family friendly event to connect with helpful local resources and services available throughout our community.

I am so proud of our members and all the work they’ve put into preparing for Lemonade Day. They’ve been learning real-life skills like money management, goal setting, and entrepreneurship and now it’s time to put those skills into action.

Parents, this is your moment to really pour into your child’s experience. Invite friends and family to stop by their stand, encourage them, celebrate them, and come support too. This is bigger than lemonade, it’s confidence, leadership, and real-world learning happening right in front of us.

Last Friday, we had the honor of officially dedicating the James “Braden” Charles Playground—a space that will forever carry his name, spirit, & the joy he brought to our Club.

Braden was truly one of a kind. A friend to all, a leader, & someone who made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Seeing our community come together to celebrate his life and legacy was incredibly special. 💙

This playground will continue to be a place filled with laughter, connection, and memories—just like the ones Braden created. May his kindness & legacy live on in every child who plays here ✨

Our youth took small steps with powerful purpose. Through peaceful assembly, chanting for justice and freedom, they learned that their voices matter. Inspired by the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., our members explored what it means to stand up against inequality and injustice. Every step they take today leads toward brighter futures tomorrow.

Today, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas received the 2025 Phoenix Award for Education and Internship Impact from Workforce Solutions of Central Texas!

At the Subhani Family Clubhouse, and across all 30 BGCTX sites, we are dedicated to preparing youth for bright futures through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and real-world learning. This recognition reflects our shared commitment to helping young people gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to succeed in school, work, and life.

A heartfelt thank you to all our members, families, and summer staff for an amazing season. 💙 To those not returning this year – you will be missed. To our returning friends – we can’t wait to see you again on August 11.

Important Reminders:
• Closed: Aug 4–8 • Open: Aug 11–12 (7:30 AM–5:30 PM)
• After‑school resumes: Aug 13 (3:00 PM–6:30 PM)
• Lunch served. Breakfast before arrival appreciated or bring snacks/lunch.
• New transportation contracts needed for school year.
• Skipcha & Mountain View buses full (waitlist open).
• Nolanville and Cavazos Elementary families: call to register for our new member transportation services.
