Pray for the persecuted church
Beloved, on Palm Sunday, Nigerian Christians were slaughtered for their faith. Christians in Iran are targeted, tortured and imprisoned for their faith.
The following verse is likely the last hymn that Jesus sang at the Passover Seder with his disciples. He declared these words before his arrest, mock trial and crucifixion.
I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
Psalms 118:5-6 NKJV
Lord, we thank you that we live in a nation where we are free to express our faith in you. We thank you for the revelation of spiritual warfare that gives us the passion and courage to maintain our rights as citizens.
We pray for every man, woman and child living in countries where it is dangerous to be a follower of Christ. Holy Spirit, empower them to follow in the footsteps of their savior in declaring the truth, even at such great risk.
Holy Spirit, we pray for your intervention and the intervention of warring angels for our brethren in these dangerous places. We agree on the testimonies that will draw others to you, in Jesus’s name.
They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
