The Agape Community is a residential community, ecumenical and interfaith in outreach and practice, with a focus on sustainable living, prayer, meditation, education in nonviolence co-founded in 1982. unity, Agape is interfaith in outreach and perspective, founded as lay Catholic Christian community. Ecologically based, Agape has a strawbale house, compost toilet, solar energy and hot water, organic garden, wood heat, and a grease car which runs on vegetable oil. Since 1982, college students, both grads and undergrads, and post grads have journeyed to Agape for internships, workshops, retreats,and to volunteer. We welcome people from all walks of life and age groups, emphasizing the current need for live-in residents who will commit to a long-term covenant leading to community membership. Agape needs you to continue our environmental lifestyle and to spread the word that nonviolence is green!!!
