On your mark, get set ... GO, LIONS! 👟🦁 Our cross country teams all competed this morning at the Fenton Dawson/Cadiz Rotary XC Festival race at the Trigg County Recreational Complex.

Eighth-grader Graham Lawrence finished ninth in the boys' middle school 2,000-meter race. Fourth-grader Braelynn Cofflect placed 13th in the elementary one-mile run.

What a fun morning getting back into cross country competitions! Next week our Lions will run at our first-ever NCCA Trail Invitational. We're excited to host and support our runners.

WEATHER-RELATED DELAY TODAY!

We will have a one-hour delay today to allow everyone extra time to get in today after the storms.

Drop off time will begin at 8:40 am,school starts at 9 am. Pick up remains the same at 3 pm.

There will not be 3-year-old pre-school today.

✨🏐 VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP 🏐✨

Our middle school Lady Lions have had two fun nights of volleyball at home already this week.

🦁 Both the eighth-grade team and the younger girls won in two sets against Northside Baptist Christian School on Monday night. NCCA split games with Heritage Christian Academy on Tuesday. The eighth-grade team lost in two sets that both went to 22-20. The team of 5th- through 7th-grade girls won in three sets.

✨ The JV Lady Lions traveled to North Hardin Christian School this past weekend to play several games, including pool and bracket play. Despite the losses, the team grew and bonded in ways that will prepare them for their upcoming season. JV Captains freshmen A.J. Frazier and Cora Vaughn were recognized on the all-tournament team.

🏐 NEXT GAMES: Our high school girls will be in action at Calloway County High School at 5 pm Thursday. Then the middle school teams will take the court at Murray Middle School at 5 pm Monday.

✨ MEET THE LIONS ✨

Hello, senior Hadley Davis! 💛

As NCCA cheer captain, Hadley said her favorite athletics memory is cheering on the Lady Lions in the KCAA State Basketball Championship last season. On the sidelines this year, Hadley is looking forward to growing in skills and friendships with her teammates.

When she’s not cheering, she finds other ways to be involved at NCCA, including as a student ambassador, house leader, or FCA student leader. This summer she attended the prestigious Commonwealth Honors Academy at Murray State University.

Hadley is the daughter of Ron and Heather Davis of Benton. Her younger brother, Barron, is a sixth-grader at NCCA. 🦁

📚✏️ We’re off to a great start!

Our elementary students are jumping into the new school year with plenty of fun, teamwork, and opportunities to get to know their classmates as they settle into new schedules, subjects, and routines.

Mrs. Kelli Bathon’s second graders are all smiles and excited to be back together! ✌️

Meanwhile, Mrs. Carissa Jackson’s fifth graders are already putting their teamwork skills to the test, conquering an escape room and tackling group challenges together! 👏

✨ Calling all pickleballers! ✨

Board member Dr. Reed Jarvis is starting a pickleball club for Upper School boys and girls who want to play once or twice a week in Hardin and/or other locations. Homeschoolers are welcome to participate as this is a club.

In the coming school years, the club may become a sanctioned sport.

At this point, participation will be free, and some equipment will be provided. Depending on the logistics of potential matches, there could be costs associated with those.

What a sweet way to start the morning! Thank you to .pawss for organizing the prayer breakfast.

Pastor Kory Cunningham led the parents through the Lord's Prayer, praying specifically for our students, staff, families, and school. Praise the Lord that He cares more about these students and this school than any of us ever could! 💛

Recent graduate Jacey Crowell shared about her experience at NCCA and prayer. Many thanks to Anne Simmons at Cafe Celebre as well as Brenda and Mony Howell for providing the delicious food.
