Can you imagine your child getting out of their wheelchair (which they need to be mobile) and crawling up the step of the US Capitol to advocate for legal rights, expose physical barriers, and force visibility? A powerful demonstration of resiliency, radical vulnerability, and strategic ingenuity

Living with dysautonomia often means learning your body, recognizing triggers, pacing yourself, and finding the right treatment and support.

Invisible doesn’t mean insignificant. Listen, learn, and believe people when they say their body isn’t cooperating.

Ableism assumes that people who don’t fit the traditional mold are defined by their disability and need to be “fixed.” Let’s fix this thinking‼️

The problem isn’t always the disability. Sometimes the problem is the barrier. Let’s talk about it 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

Multiple days in Columbia, SC for the Multilingual Learners Conference, and I’m leaving feeling encouraged, challenged, and reminded of why I stepped into this new chapter. 💙📚🌎

Transitioning from music education into ESOL has definitely stretched me, but I’m realizing that I’m not leaving my original mission behind.

For 10+ years, I helped students find their voice through music. Now, I’m helping multilingual learners find their voice through language, confidence, access, and connection.

Different classroom. Different content. Same mission. ❤️

I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep learning, growing, and becoming a better educator for my students. This chapter is new, but the heart of the work is still the same: creating spaces where every student feels seen, supported, valued, and capable.

Still learning. Still growing. Still helping students find their voice. 🗣🏽🌎📚🎶

Get to the know the vocalist.
Xavier LaRon – Tenor
Native of Beaufort, SC, and singing since the age of 4, Xavier brings soul, energy, and authenticity to every note. Raised in the church and seasoned through high school chorus, gospel choir, and university ensembles, music isn’t just a talent for him, it’s home.

With a voice that aims to connect, not just impress, Xavier believes singing is a journey where emotion leads and the audience follows. When he’s performing, time fades, and joy takes over. To him, music is more than sound, it’s medicine for the spirit, a way to heal what words alone can’t touch.

Lovable, full of life, and always setting trends, Xavier’s the guy with the big heart and even bigger vocals. You have a chance to hear this dynamic singer on June 14th at the Pooler Juneteenth Festival. See details below…

Get to know the vocalist…
Tiffany Bostick was exposed to many genres of music at an early age. She began singing at the early age of six years old in the church choir. She went on to play the clarinet, until she joined choreographed dancing teams all throughout high school and undergraduate school. It was in undergrad, after receiving vocal training in the Savannah State University Choral Music Society, that Tiffany gained the confidence to pursue singing as more than a hobby. Through this organization, she got to travel to different states to perform. Once Tiffany moved abroad, she shared her talent with people from all over the world in various cities in China. Tiffany primarily performed in Shanghai, China, the home of more than 24 million, the vibrant international city often referred to as “New York of the East.” Tiffany has performed in many places; from university and fashion events,to auditoriums, clubs/restaurants, festivals, tea mountains, and even caves just to name a few. Catch Tiffany B on a stage, at the Pooler Juneteenth festival on Saturday, June 14th…more details below
