Let’s treat our teachers and staff to breakfast and stock the staff lounge before the school year kicks-off! 100% of your donation goes straight towards a breakfast and snacks for the teachers and staff at Spring Mountain Elementary. The PTA will use money raised to buy back-to-school brunch items, k-cups, granola bars, crackers, and other perishable/ non-perishable items to stock the cupboards and fridge.

Staff breakfast will be served the week the teachers are back in school and we are hoping to stock their lounge the week of 9/8 (the first week of school!) to ensure they are fueled and ready to go! 👊

We’re kicking off a series of Spotlights on our Spring Mountain Staff so you can get to know them a bit better throughout the school year!

First up! Principal Dunn 📚We asked him some questions and here’s what he said:

☕️ Favorite coffee? Something cold brew/nitro (but I am too cheap to buy very often! 😜

🎶 Favorite song? I grew up with my dad playing a lot of John Denver songs and when I hear them now it makes me happy.

🎤 Favorite school event? Out Talent Show! All of our students are there, rooting for and celebrating each other. It amazes me every year and I feel so proud of the courage the students show.

🙈 Once I asked a Kindergarten student “Why are you putting that kleenex back in the box after you use it?” And they responded… “So someone else can use it!” 🫣

💙 What’s the best part of being the principal at Spring Mountain? I get to be present when students break through and find success. That happens with reading and math but in other ways too and getting to be there when students feel “I can do this! I got it!” is so rewarding.

Getting excited about their first week back to school? This is a fun and simple way to volunteer and get to know other parents all while brightening the days of our students and staff as they kick-off their first week! 🚌✏️📌🎒

Join our PTA and other parents to CHALK THE SCHOOL sidewalks on Monday 9/7 (the day before 1-5th begin!) from 2-4pm!

Bring chalk and if you’re able - some beverages (soda, sparkling water etc) or packaged snacks to stock the lounge for the staff!!

Let’s kick off the school year in style!

Get excited Hawks!! We have a date and time for Open House!

Join us on Sept 3 from 2-3pm at Spring Mountain Elementary!

There will be popsicles, we’ll have a table set up to learn about all the fun things planned for the year and kids can meet their teachers! 🍎

We’re excited to start counting down to the first day of school!

Happy August Hawks! We hope everyone is having a great summer! ☀️

Our group of parents have been working hard to plan ahead for a fun year ahead, but we need to vote on a couple of things related to our budget and planning for the year before the fall!

If you’re a member and able to attend, please consider joining us for a summer Membership Meeting on August 17th!

We still have a lot of Lost & Found items that need to be claimed! The school is open today or Monday from 9am - 3pm. After that ALL ITEMS WILL BE DONATED! Please come by - there’s so many great items and we’d prefer they go home with their original owners! 😉

What an amazing SME Talent Show 🎤 All the kids who got up to perform in front of the school deserve a standing ovation! It’s such a cool end-of-school year event and such a brave thing to do!

Thank you to Mrs. Meek and all of our amazing staff and teachers who held auditions and helped make these kids feel prepared and confident! 🎶

And thank you to all the parents and families who came to support their students!!
