🦁✨ Little Words. Big Impact. Difference Makers. ✨🦁

Words of Wisdom is officially underway at Hanson Elementary, and Little Words. Big Impact. Difference Makers. is our theme for the 2026-2027 school year.

During our morning announcements, students will hear a short character-building message based on resources from our school’s Project Wisdom program. Each message will be connected to a weekly word, an encouraging thought, and a challenge students can practice at school, at home, and in our community.

This year, our Hanson Hunters will take this journey together:
🌱 Know Yourself
❤️ Care for Others
🧠 Choose Wisely
💪 Keep Growing
🌟 Make a Difference

We are starting with BEGINNINGS and this challenge:
⭐ “Do one thing today that helps you start strong.”
I have attached the graphic that we have posted on our new sign for this week's little word and challenge. We plan to post this each week, as well.

All year long, we will learn that small words—when put into action—can make a very big difference!
🦁 Make it a great day or not. The choice is yours. I hope you choose GREATNESS!

🖤💛 We’re ROARING into a new school year! 💛🖤

We loved seeing our Hanson families at Open House last night! 🦁📚 If you snapped any pictures, share them in the comments below—we’d love to see those smiling faces! 📸✨

And now…the countdown is almost over! 🎉 We are SO excited to welcome our Hanson Hunters back tomorrow for the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 🏫✏️🍎

Get a good night’s sleep, Hunters—we can’t wait to see you in the morning! 🖤💛

REMINDERS:

School starts on Wednesday, August 12, 2026! Please see the information shared by the Hopkins County Schools District regarding our new truancy policy.

Open House is tonight, August 10, 2026, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
We are looking forward to seeing our Hunters! Please bring your school supplies that you already have purchased.

As we draw closer to the start of the 2026-2027 school year, we want to introduce you to another new Hanson Hunter family member! 🖤💛🦁 Ms. Kim comes to us as a longtime member of the Hanson Elementary family in the parent role. We are so glad to welcome her home!

Just a reminder that Kindergarten Kickoff is tomorrow from 10-2!
Please do not bring your supplies tomorrow! You will bring those to Open House on Aug. 10th. We look forward to seeing all of our new Hanson Hunters tomorrow! 🦁

We are so excited to have you join us!!🖤💛🦁 (Mrs. Ramos will be filling the position vacated by Mrs. Damron's move to the Instructional Leader role at West Hopkins. We wish Mrs. Damron the best in her new position and give a huge Hanson Hunter welcome to Mrs. Ramos.)

Get your email updated in Infinite Campus for the 2026-2027 school year!

A great time to do this, if you haven't done so already, is when you complete your online registration annual update. All students have to have this completed, both new and returning. You will want to complete it prior to Open House on August 10, 2026, because you will not want to take time out of the busy schedule that evening to do it.
