We have running water!! The landscape has work but we have plenty of other grass areas for the kids to run around in. I’m beyond excited, almost at the finish line!!

It’s going to be a race to the finish but I have hope!! Our amazing contractors, especially the very talented GC Jerry Kiley and my husband Dan have been doing over time. We are almost there!! I will send an email update tomorrow to everyone who has told me they plan on enrolling.
Moving furniture in and setting up within the next couple days! Keep an eye open for an open house within the week.
If anyone is looking for a preschool this upcoming school year we have openings. You can pick from 1-4 days a week. Open 8-3 with half day and full day options.

If you have driven by, you may have noticed the rather impressive, slightly overgrown mound that has taken up residence along the road. To the local small-mammal community, I’m fairly certain it qualifies as a full-scale jungle habitat. 🌿🐿️

For the record, Pumpkin Mountain was not intentional — and it will be coming down.

It started as a pile of topsoil we removed to make way for the new driveway to the school. While awaiting removal my son had taken the opportunity to plant pumpkin seeds throughout the entire thing.

I certainly encourage my kids creative nature… just not usually on this scale. 😆

As spring turned into summer, Pumpkin Mountain was still there. And at some point, we decided to embrace it.

Fast-forward to today, and there are at least 23 pumpkins growing and thriving.

For now, Pumpkin Mountain remains. Consider it a temporary agricultural experiment and Maple Brook’s newest (temporary) landmark.

We are putting in a stone dust driveway for the kids to ride on. Our preschoolers will be able to bring their own bikes or use Maple Brook’s. The stone dust is hard enough to ride on but softer than pavement to help build confidence before they hit the real roads!

Meet Scoot & Scurry, our brand-new class pets! 🐿️💖
These two adorable furry friends are so excited to visit our students' homes this year! Each child will get a turn to take Scoot and Scurry home.

In addition to the furry creature, students will be able to bring home a book and the special camera: To snap fun photos of their home adventures with the family!
We can’t wait for everyone to share their weekend stories and photos back with the class! Who’s ready for an adventure?
