Congratulations to DDIx alums Sharvil Patel '17 and Drew Young '16 (Columbus, GA) on their performance at the Wake Forest Earlybird. Sharvil and Drew were the top seed and reached the quarterfinal round earning their first TOC bid of the season. Sharvil and Drew are coached by Lyndsey Hinckley.

On a 3-2 decision, Drew and Sharvil on the negative defeat Noh and James! Congratulations to both teams! With that, the DDI PF Workshop has concluded! See everyone next year!

We're about to start the Final Round at the DDI PF Camp Tournament! Affirming the resolution is James (Andover, MA) and Noh (Marist, GA) against the Negative team of Sharvil (Columbus, GA) and Drew (Columbus, GA).

The Public Forum lab thoroughly enjoyed our day of debating at the Calvin Coolidge Foundation. The team of Drew and Sharvil of Columbus, Georgia made the championship debate and received scholarship money!

Taylor Walker (2011 National Speech & Debate Association National Student of the Year and Producer of a New Hampshire ABC affiliate) came and spoke to the lab today about how the media approaches stories on civil unrest.

Alyssa spent some of lab this morning pushing students to think at a deeper level about the Civil Unrest topic.

This afternoon, the lab put prep on hold to go see Fmr. Secretary of State and 2016 Presidential Candidate speak in Hanover this afternoon. Several students and the lab leaders were able to meet her, talk about debate and take photos with her.

We have an evidence packet and lesson plans posted specific to the Civil Unrest resolution!

Before camp begins tonight, our lab leaders are busy at work in Dartmouth's amazing library are compiling a list of great books on the Civil Unrest and Reparations topic - the library is a resource that our campers will be utilizing this week at the DDI!
