Hanover Public Schools is sharing a local opportunity for student-athletes who still need a sports physical before the start of the season.

Health Express Urgent Care Hanover is offering free sports physicals through September 15, 2026. Walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment is needed. The urgent care center also offers same-day visits and can complete required forms during the visit.

Health Express Urgent Care is located at 1207 Washington Street, Hanover, MA 02339. The Hanover location is open seven days a week. Families may call 781-285-2350 for additional information.

Families are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity before the September 15 deadline as fall sports get underway.

💛💙 We’re excited to launch the Hanover PTA Staff Appreciation Campaign! 💙💛

Our teachers and staff do so much for Hanover students every day, and we want to show them a little extra love this year.

We already have our traditional staff appreciation events planned throughout the school year — this campaign is about going one step further. Funds raised will support an additional staff appreciation effort at each of our four schools, with each principal choosing something meaningful and special for their staff.

Nobody panic, but the fire trucks are back at school…which can only mean one thing.

Summer vacation is almost over…

Over the next week, Hanover Firefighters are getting a head start on the school year by conducting fire and life-safety inspections at all public schools. Crews will be checking building access, fire alarms, emergency lighting, sprinkler systems, AEDs, and other important safety features before students and staff return.

These inspections are coordinated with the School and Facilities Departments so any issues can be identified and addressed before the hallways fill back up.

The visits also give each on-duty group an opportunity to re-familiarize themselves with the layout, access points, and fire protection systems at each school — valuable knowledge for our crews in the event of an emergency.

In the meantime, enjoy those last few days of summer.

We’ll handle the inspections. You handle finding wherever you put the kids’ backpacks in June.

Fall Registration Update

Fall athletic preseason begins in just 2 weeks!

While fall registration will remain open through early September, there are several requirements that must be completed before a student-athlete can participate.

To help avoid delays at the start of the season, please complete all required registration items by Wednesday, August 19.
