Congratulations to our Tech Pathways Apprentices, who each received a $1,000 Tool Grant courtesy of the Pennsylvania Automotive Association (PAA). This grant is intended for Automotive Technicians who are new full-time hires at a dealership to help alleviate the cost of entry into the Automotive Technician career field. Tech Pathways covers the cost of training, so this grant helps with the only other "obstacle" new technicians face when starting out. For more information, visit: https://www.paa.org/toolgrants. A HUGE thank you to Central Atlantic Toyota Training Center for dropping off engines at Tech Pathways today! 🔧🚗

These engines give our Pre-Apprentices the chance to get hands-on, dig in, and do the things they REALLY want to. There’s no substitute for getting your hands dirty and learning from real equipment!

We’re incredibly grateful for the support and investment in the next generation of automotive technicians. Our Pre-Apprentices are ready to learn! 👏🔩

TIRES- Such a basic part of a car, right? Wrong! Technicians can collect so much information about the health of a car based on the tires, you could compare checking them to “taking vitals.”

Our Pre-Apprentices have spent the last two weeks learning all things tire related, and today they put their new knowledge to the test! They rotated through 3 stations, rotating, checking pressures/tread, and balancing tires.

Tires may seem like a simple “part,” but they actually tell so much of a car’s story. That makes them a great place for these students to start learning! 🛞 🛞

On the night of September 10, 2001 ... 25 years ago:
246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights.
2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning.
343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift.
60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol.
8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift.
None of them saw past 11:00am Sept 11, 2001.
In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

Thank you to Larry Dell, head of Hanover Auto Team Safety & Wellness Committee, for giving our Pre-Apprentice class their first safety briefing! We have a lot to dig into at the start of their training, but SAFETY is always a priority. Our students will continue to receive safety training throughout the school year.
