A little photo dump from September and the beginning of October. Our juniors have done an excellent job introducing our program to the first few groups of incoming freshmen, and all classes have been tackling a variety of projects.

One exciting project has all classes involved in designing and prepping for a new paver walkway, updated foundation plantings, a possible retaining wall, and potential landscape lighting at our neighboring administration building.

We’re looking forward to seeing their plans take shape and getting out into the community for more projects this school year!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Fall Plant Sale yesterday! We’re grateful for your continued support of our chapter and program. A big thank you to our student volunteers for their help throughout the day, and it is always great to catch up with some of our alumni!

Please share! It’s looking like a beautiful day this Saturday for our FFA Fall Plant Sale. Join us from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and bring home some fresh fall color.

Due to school construction, the sale will be held outdoors in our school courtyard. See the attached flyer and price list for details.

All of our mums were grown on a South Shore farm just minutes from our school. Your purchase supports both our FFA chapter and local agriculture right in our backyard.

Please share: Due to the impending nor’easter this weekend, our FFA Fall Plant Sale has been postponed until Saturday, October 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

An indoor sale is not possible this fall, so we will try our luck with the weather next weekend. We hope the additional week of waiting is not an inconvenience!

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our students and FFA chapter. A plant/price list will come available next week. We hope to see you next Saturday!

This past Saturday, our chapter competed in the Eastern Regional FFA Contest at The Big E in Springfield, MA. It was great to catch up with local chapters, alumni, and state and national officers. It’s always a great day.

Although we couldn’t attend the awards banquet, we heard that both our Floriculture and Nursery/Landscape teams placed first 🥇. Individual results will be announced soon. Congratulations to both teams!

Our sophomore and senior classes kicked off the school year right away by propagating and potting more than 1,000 perennials. Through this project, students will learn how to properly establish herbaceous nursery crops this fall, maintain appropriate temperatures throughout the winter, and produce fuller, more mature plants for next spring. As we welcomed back our students this week, we’d like to share all of our plant and floral sale events for the 2026–2027 school year. This post will be pinned to our main grid.

Please note that all sale dates are subject to change due to weather, school closings, and plant availability/maturity. We will announce and share reminders for each event as pre-sales and in-person sale dates approach. Any changes to scheduled dates will also be announced through our social media pages.

Today, students took a walk at Jacob’s Pond in Norwell to learn about Beech Leaf Disease and practice identifying poison ivy in the field.

Along the trail, we found several beech trees showing symptoms of Beech Leaf Disease and discussed how the disease is affecting beech trees across Massachusetts and the northeast. The disease is caused by a microscopic nematode and over time the disease can weaken trees, reduce growth, and lead to decline.

It’s always great when students can see these topics firsthand instead of just reading about them in the classroom.
