Yesterday was our 20th day of preschool!
This is our calendar. We have one calendar helper a week. They have to figure out what day it is, place the correct amount of stickers on the paper, and eventually they will write the numeral. We start this process over after we hit 20. Counting to 20 is our goal every year so the students are prepared for kindergarten.

It’s your LAST week of “homeschool!” We technically only have class until Wednesday, but here’s enough ideas to take you well into your holiday weekend.
Tent building. Fire stacking. Hot Dog making. Marshmallow toasting. Pattern painting. Outdoor sleeping. FUN!
For a challenge: can your child help write a camping checklist? Maybe they can sound out the words for you to write? Also, you can write an easy “recipe” for how to make hot dogs or s’mores and see if they can follow the directions.
Head over to YouTube for some fun videos on building fires. Remember, tents and fires do not have to be real! If we were at school, we’d be using pretend items for all of this 😉 ⛺️ 🔥
Have fun, campers!

This week:
- Use your telescope or binoculars to look into the night sky. What do you see? Research constellations. Can you find any?
- Make paper fish or go catch some real ones! Use paper and make a measuring tool. Use your measuring tool to see how big or small your fish are.
- Collect and sort sticks into 3 sizes. Other toys or household items could work.
- Research camping and why fires are important when camping. Build a “campfire” out of blocks or other small toys.
- Parents: if you’re headed to the store you might want to grab hot dogs, buns, marshmallows, graham crackers, and Hershey’s bars. You might want them for next week 😉
