DO YOU LOVE YOUR JOB? IF NOT, IT’S TIME TO FIND A NEW ONE.

I had a job I thought I was going to love. But in reality it turned into a nightmare. My boss was incompetent and had no clue how to supervise. Out of the 20 people I supervised, one took great delight being insubordinate and disrespectful every chance they got. Further up the chain of command, the individuals were uninspiring and uncaring. Morale was miserable. The work was not challenging. I could go on and on.

But PosiVision Life Coaching is about becoming positive and becoming your best self, happy and healthy. I chose not to stay in that horrible job and instead find a job that I would find rewarding, with a highly competent boss and a supportive team of wonderful co-workers. The job is challenging and morale is great. I get to travel the world representing the United States. As a lifelong learner, I get to learn important new subjects everyday.

BLEARY EYED OVER THE ATLANTIC THINKING ABOUT VALUES

So if you've made it through my website, you've learned that my other job, when I'm not Life Coaching, is as an International Negotiator for the U.S. Government. It's a job I love as I get to use all of the people skills I've attained over the years to make the world a better place. The job, just like my Life Coaching, fits well with my core values.

I think all of the major decisions in our lives should align with our core values, whether it's the career path we take, where we live, who we choose as a partner, even where we go on a vacation.

So it's midnight east coast time and I'm at 33,000 feet, halfway over the Atlantic to my current destination: Brussels, Belgium. I'll be working with a number of nations, although primarily the European Union, on oceanographic and climate research.

As this is my first trip to Brussels, I will definitely make time to try Belgian Waffles, Chocolates, and Beer, as being a foodie and exploring new cultures while traveling is definitely one of my core values, which is one of the reasons I love this job so much.

And don't be surprised if you choose to work with me as a Life Coach, if I don't ask you early on in the process to define your core values. Then we can see if your current life aligns with your values, and we can come up with some options that might align better, making you happier in the process.
