Sleep tight, ponies—tomorrow is officially the FIRST DAY of school!

The classrooms are prepped, the hallways are clean, and our teachers and staff are absolutely thrilled to welcome everyone back tomorrow morning to West Manheim.

Before you turn off the lights tonight, here is a quick final checklist to set your student up for a stress-free morning:

🎒 Backpack packed and waiting by the door?
👟 First-day outfit picked out?
🍎 Lunch, water bottle, and snacks prepped?

From starting a new chapter in 1st grade to leading the school as 5th graders—our West Manheim campus was buzzing last night! 🌟 We loved welcoming our 1st and 5th-grade families to meet the staff, check out classrooms, and set the stage for an unforgettable year ahead at our last Back to School Night event. Thank you to all our families who attended this week, and to our staff who prepared classrooms, copies, hallways, and buses to welcome our students back. Students, we are so excited to see you all next Tuesday! 💙💛

Returning Ponies are back in stride! 📚🎨 It was so great seeing our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders showing off their classrooms, reconnecting with friends, and meeting their teachers for the new year last night. Big steps for our littlest Ponies! 🐴✨ Kindergarten Welcome to School Night was full of bright smiles and new adventures. Our families toured classrooms, met our amazing teachers and school admin, connected with the WM PTO, and learned about lunch routines with cafeteria staff. The highlight? The countdown is in single digits! We are exactly ONE WEEK away from the first day of school!💙💛

As you soak up these final days of summer ponies, we want to make sure you have everything you need for a smooth and stress-free start next week.

Here is a quick checklist of things to verify before August 18th:

📝 District Forms: Have you completed and submitted your back-to-school paperwork online?
🏫 Classroom Assignments: Do you know who your student’s teacher is? Coming to our Back to School Nights this week will help start out the year with a familiar face and location.
🚌 Transportation: Have you double-checked your bus routes, pickup times, or drop-off procedures?

Please plan to attend your assigned grade level evening and time. 💙💛💙💛

Tuesday, August 11, 2025: Kindergarten Orientation 6:00-7:30pm

Wednesday, August 12, 2025: 2nd and 4th Grade Open House from 5:00-7:00pm

Wednesday, August 12, 2025: 3rd Grade Orientation & Room Visits 6-7:30pm

Thursday, August 13, 2025: 1st and 5th Grade Open House from 5:00-7:00pm

Please note, Kindergarten and Third Grade Back-to-School Nights are orientations. Plan to start in the cafeteria during the grade level's scheduled time.
It will be important for K & 3 families to be present for the entire event.

Grades 1, 2, 4, and 5 will be open houses. You are welcome to visit your child's classroom teacher at any time between 5:00 and 7:00.

☀️ And that’s a wrap on the 2025–2026 school year. ☀️

Today, our teachers and staff lined the halls and sidewalks to give our 5th graders and all students one final send-off filled with waves, cheers, high fives, smiles… and yes, even a few tears.

As buses pulled away and students headed into summer, it was a beautiful reminder of the relationships, memories, growth, and love shared throughout this school year. We are so proud of everything our Ponies accomplished and so thankful for the incredible staff, students, and families who made this year so special.

Have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer, Ponies! We can’t wait to see you again next year. 💙💛🐴

Today’s Pony Show ended in the best way possible, with our entire school coming together to sing our Pony Strong song. 💙💛
Hearing the voices of our students and talented staff fill the room was such a powerful reminder of what makes our school community so special. From laughter and celebrations to songs and memories, today was the perfect way to close out an incredible school year together.
We are so proud of the kindness, growth, teamwork, and school spirit our Ponies have shown all year long.
Country roads lead me there, to the school where people care.

🎤 The 3rd Annual Pony Show! 🐴🎶

What a way to wrap up the school year! Today, our students and staff came together for the 3rd Annual Pony Show — a special tradition filled with laughter, games, music, celebrations, and recognition for all the amazing accomplishments from this school year.

Teachers and students joined in the fun as we celebrated success, shared smiles, sang together, and officially welcomed summer break with our school community. The energy, joy, and memories made today were the perfect reminder of what makes West Manheim so special. Here’s to another unforgettable year and singing our way into summer!
