🐾🐶 Happy National Dog Day from Hoffman Homes! 🐶🐾

Today gives us the perfect excuse to celebrate two very special members of our Animal-Assisted Therapy and the Hoffman Homes family — Nixy & Jersey! 💙

These two bring their own personalities, plenty of tail wags, and a special kind of companionship to our Animal-Assisted Therapy program. Whether it’s a quiet moment together, a friendly greeting, or simply having a furry friend nearby, Nixy & Jersey have a way of making moments a little brighter. 🐕✨

And because National Dog Day is really about appreciating the animals who give us so much, we also want to recognize all of the incredible animals who are part of our Animal-Assisted and Equine-Assisted Therapy programs. 🐾🐴

Of course, our animals need people caring for them, too!

Hoffman Homes is currently looking for weekend volunteers to lend a hand with the care of our animals. A little time out of your weekend can mean full bowls, clean spaces, happy animals — and a whole lot of wagging tails. 💙

Creative Therapy is all about finding new ways to connect, grow, lead, and express yourself—and this week’s stars gave us plenty to celebrate! 💙

🎭 Drama Therapy – Mason
Mason displayed significant patience and leadership during his very first tabletop role-playing session! He jumped into a new experience and showed us just how much creativity and leadership can go hand in hand.

🐾 Animal-Assisted Therapy – Avery
Avery stepped up as a positive role model, encouraging younger peers to make positive choices and follow group expectations. Her encouraging attitude and leadership made a meaningful impact on the entire group!

⛳ A great day on the course for a great cause!

Hoffman Homes was proud to once again sponsor and participate in the Lion’s Club Golf Outing on July 23 at Hanover Country Club! This marks our third year joining in the fun and supporting an event hosted by an organization that has been a wonderful friend to Hoffman Homes.

The Lion’s Club, of which our own John Zinn is a member, generously supports Hoffman Homes through charitable giving each year. We are incredibly grateful for their continued partnership and for the many ways they help make a difference for the youth and young adults we serve. 💙

Today, the halls of Hoffman Academy are buzzing again as we welcome our students and staff for the first day of school! A new school year brings new possibilities, new experiences, and so many opportunities to learn, grow, and shine. 💙

🎓 Investing in Our Classrooms. Investing in Their Futures. 💚

As we prepare for another school year at Hoffman Academy, we are incredibly grateful to Walmart Waynesboro and the M&T Charitable Foundation for helping us bring new smart boards into our classrooms!

These boards give our teachers more ways to create engaging, interactive learning experiences while helping the youth we serve build confidence, discover their abilities, and experience success in the classroom.

We were also excited to welcome Shane Patterson, Vice President/Sr. Relationship Manager, Business Banking, and Tina Palermo, Branch Manager, from M&T Bank to Hoffman Academy for a tour! It was wonderful to have them visit our classrooms, learn more about our programs, and see firsthand how the new smart board technology is being used.

Each day, Hoffman Academy serves our residents as well as more than 40-day students who are bused in from surrounding school districts—some traveling up to an hour each way. Their journeys are a powerful reminder of the important role Hoffman Academy plays in our community and why continued investment in our classrooms matters so much.

Thank you to Walmart Waynesboro, the M&T Charitable Foundation, Shane, and Tina for supporting Hoffman Academy and investing in the future of those we serve. 💚
