Last day of the State FFA Convention! It was a great trip with wonderful students. Students dressed up in a Halloween theme for the trivia night, , the delegates voted for the 26-27 Major State Officers, students visited the Old State Capitol and Sawyer Fry wrapped up his year of Section President.

We received word from Coach Eyres today of our River Ridge track all-conference athletes! Congratulations!

The second day of the State Convention showcased our students FFA prowress! Our Freshmen did a great job in the Greenhand Quiz Bowl Competition. They won thier first three matches and then ended up coming in 4th over all. It is not too bad being ranked 4th in the State of Illinois!
Next up were the older members. Gracie Allen and Nick Cobine rocked it by getting their State FFA Degrees! Congratulations to both of them on earning this honor that only the top 2% of all FFA members achieve.

Day one of the State FFA Convention! Today we attended the first two sessions where our students were honored with several awards. Ella Dittmar was top 10 in the State for Chapter Reporter, Ty Spahn was recommended for his American FFA Degree, and our chapter earned a Silver ranking in tje National Chapter award. We are looking forward to tomorrow when our Quiz Bowl team competes!

Not only did the RRSM baseball team win this award, but so did the SMRR softball team! 🥎 We have some pretty great athletes, teammates, and students in our co-op! Well done teams!

We had FFA officer training today! Students spent the morning in the classroom planning out their goals for the year and then did a high ropes course for the afternoon activity.

Congratulations to our RRSM baseball all-conference players! They were also given the sportsmanship award! ⚾️
