River Ridge CUSD 210 Music Department

Thank you all so much for another successful year of music and fine arts! We hope you all relax over the summer and come back and refreshed for another music packed school year!

The results for the IHSA State Music Sweepstakes are in, and with our combined points from Solo and Ensemble and Large Group; the River Ridge Wildcats tied for First Place and brought home a back to back state championship for the school! Results from Large Group: Concert Band Division 1, Jazz Band Division 2, Mixed Choir Division 1, Treble Choir Division 1! Congratulations to our High School Musicians on such a wonderful achievement!

The Spring Concert for the Music Department is here! Band and choir students in grades 5-12 will be performing! Come hear the culmination of the years efforts! Choir students report at 5 for warm ups and band students report at 5:20!

Some of the River Ridge Junior High Musicians were able to go to Prairie Ridge today and perform for the residents! Students had the opportunity to talk with the residents about their past musical experiences as well! The staff and residents of Prairie Ridge were so appreciative of the students sharing their talents with them today!

Today the Music Department and AFS students ventured to the Cadillac Theater to see Phantom of the Opera! Students had a wonderful time seeing a live musical with professional musicians on stage and in the pit orchestra! They even had local musicians from Chicago in the orchestra!
