Introducing the LVHS Drama Growing Professionals Program!
This year, the LVHS Drama Department is doing something a little different with our traditional officer and production assistant positions.
Rather than focusing solely on traditional theatre and production roles, we are transforming these opportunities into a Growing Professionals Program designed to give students real-world experience in a variety of professional fields.
One of my biggest goals for the Drama Department is to create opportunities for students with all different kinds of interests and career goals. While we will always support our future actors, directors, designers, and stage managers, I also want to help develop our future marketing professionals, administrators, hospitality workers, producers, arts managers, event planners, business professionals, and so much more.
And you do not have to be a traditional “theatre person” to benefit from these opportunities.
If you are interested in gaining hands-on experience, building your resume, developing professional skills, or exploring a career field you might want to pursue in the future, I encourage you to take a look at the program. Whether you already know what career path you want to pursue or are simply interested in trying something new, there may be a place for you.
Applications will open next week, and positions will be application-based and selected.
