Week 11 took the kiddos to one last Crafty Tuesday and one final Wacky Wednesday — and we topped it off with a magic show by Dr. Mark on Friday — and that wraps up a blast of a summer full of newfound friends in Sunny Summer Camp 2024!

Week 10 of Sunny Summer Camp gave us several rainy days, but the kiddos kept busy building even more blanket forts, making crocodiles for Crafty Tuesday at the library, climbing and playing at Young’s Woods playground, skating at Magic Elm for Wacky Wednesday, watching movies, playing in the pouring hurricane rains (I missed the photo op!), and making mud pies after the rain moved on!

Week 9 was a bit more laid-back for the Sunny Summer Campers, but there was still lots of fun packed in every day! This week, they played card games and board games, read books, created art from scraps, had fun dressing up, made spinning tops for Crafty Tuesday at the library, played chase at the Baresville playground, went to see Migration at RC Theaters, and built more cool blanket forts!

The fun continued for week 8 of Sunny Summer Camp! This week, kiddos built more awesome blanket forts, worked on puzzles, kept up their UNO tournament, created sand art bottles for Crafty Tuesday at the library, played hard at Kids’ Kingdom, enjoyed another Wacky Wednesday at Magic Elm, and fed lots of cool animals at Lake Tobias Wildlife Park!

Week 7 of Sunny Summer Camp kept kiddos busy! They played in the water to beat the heat, made their own pizzas, decorated the concrete (and themselves) with sidewalk chalk, created spy kits at the library for Crafty Tuesday, made rubber band bracelets (thanks, Jules!), kept up their UNO tournament, brought back an old classic with London Bridge, and spent Friday picnicking and frolicking at Fuller Lake!

It was super hot outside for week 6 of Sunny Summer Camp! We chose to skip many of the outdoor sports we had planned, but still found plenty of ways to have fun out of the heat. Kiddos played with slime, had fun dressing up and role playing, continued the Uno tournament, played D&D, did spin art for Crafty Tuesday at the library, enjoyed some Wacky Wednesday skating at Magic Elm, had a blast at Sky Zone trampoline park, and scored free slushies at 7-Eleven on 7/11!

It was a short holiday week for most of the kiddos, but we still had fun in week 5! We played lots of board games, made adventure journals for Craft Tues at the library, visited the Park Hills playground, played Floor is Lava, and went butterfly catching!

The fun continued in week 4 of Sunny Summer Camp 2024! The kiddos built blanket forts, continued their UNO tournament, created Ooblek, made their own pizzas, made slingshot planes at the library for Craft Tuesday, went roller skating, learned how potato chips are made on the Utz Chip Trip, and had a blast playing on the splash pad and the slip’n’slide!

Week 3 of Sunny Summer Camp was quieter than usual with lots of kiddos off on vacations — but we still had lots of fun playing outside in the mornings when it was cooler (they found several toads!), going bowling, and doing gymnastics tricks on the mats. A few days even saw lots of serious rounds of Uno!
