Our fall athletes moved in yesterday, had their first night on campus, and started practices today. We are anxiously waiting for the arrival of the rest of the students later this month. Hannibal-LaGrange University is seeking a Director of International Students and ESL Programs to lead and support a thriving international student community while advancing HLGU’s ESL program.

This leadership role provides oversight of international student services, including compliance, recruitment, retention, and care, while also serving as the primary architect of the University’s ESL (English as a Second Language) program. The position plays a key role in supporting student success, strengthening academic pathways, and fostering a welcoming, Christ-centered environment for students from around the world.

Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with federal regulations, overseeing ESL curriculum and advising, supporting international recruitment efforts, and collaborating across departments to enhance the overall student experience.

The Director will also provide mentorship, guide students through academic and cultural transitions, and contribute to strategic initiatives that support enrollment and retention.

Ideal candidates will have an interest in:
• International student support and engagement
• ESL program leadership and development
• Student success and cross-cultural communication
• Serving within a Christ-centered university community
