A new chapter has begun.

Today, the Class of 2030 participated in HLGU's annual Walk of Honor, passing beneath the Arch to mark the start of their journey at Hannibal-LaGrange University. Freshmen were greeted by HLGU President Dr. Robert Matz, gathered under the Trinity Tree for prayer, and sang the HLGU Alma Mater together as a class for the first time.

We are praying for this class and look forward to seeing all that God will accomplish in their lives over the next four years.

Freshman Move-in Day is officially here at HLGU, and NSO Weekend is off to a great start!

A huge thank you to Sydenstricker of Palmyra for allowing us to borrow two Gators to help our volunteers and staff move students into their new homes on campus. Your support helped make the day run smoothly for our newest Trojans and their families.

What a wonderful evening at the Welcome Back Picnic hosted by HLGU President and First Lady, Dr. and Mrs. Matz, at the Prince House! It was a joy for HLGU employees and their families to come together, reconnect, and celebrate the start of a new academic year.

Volunteers from across our HLGU family have come together to clean, paint, landscape, and tackle projects all around campus in preparation for the start of a new academic year. As students move in next week, they'll be welcomed by a campus made better through your generous service.

Join us for Booster Night 2026, presented by HNB Bank, on Saturday, November 7 at HLGU. This unforgettable evening of worship, music, fellowship, and celebration will feature internationally acclaimed Christian artists and hymnwriters Keith & Kristyn Getty, whose songs are sung in churches around the world.

Enjoy a special performance by the HLGU Concert Choir, a silent auction, dessert, and more, all in support of HLGU's Christ-centered mission.

With New Student Orientation just around the corner, our RAs are hard at work preparing to welcome our newest students to campus. As part of their training, they participated in Fire Safety Training today, gaining valuable knowledge and hands-on experience to help keep our residential community safe.

A special thank you to the Hannibal Fire Department for taking the time to train our team and share their expertise. Partnerships like these strengthen our community and help ensure our RAs are equipped to support residential students from day one.
