📚 Elementary Dismissal Reminder 🏴‍☠️

As we settle into the new school year, we want to remind families of our elementary dismissal procedures. Following these procedures helps us keep dismissal safe, organized, and efficient for everyone.

⏰ Kindergarten dismisses at 3:15 p.m., with the remaining elementary students following shortly after. All elementary students are dismissed by 3:20 p.m. Please be on time for pickup so we can keep dismissal moving smoothly and ensure students are safely supervised.

🚌 Bus riders will exit through Door #2 (South).

🚶 Walkers and bike riders will exit through Door #1 (West). Bikes should be parked in the racks on the south side of the school.

🚗 Students being picked up will exit through Door #3 (East). During pickup, please travel north to south on 2nd Ave S to help maintain a safe and consistent traffic flow.

We’re excited to kick off another great year at Hankinson Public School! 💙🏴‍☠️

Last week, our staff spent time learning and growing together with Michelle Woodcock from the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. Michelle shared valuable information on executive functioning, evidence-based practices, and strategies for understanding and supporting student behavior.

Today, we continued our professional development and preparations for the new school year and ended the day with an amazing Open House! It was wonderful to see our hallways and classrooms filled with students and families again. Thank you to everyone who came out tonight to meet our staff, visit classrooms, and help us celebrate the start of a new year!

We are grateful for our staff, students, families, and community and are looking forward to all that this year will bring.

We’re ready for a great 2026–2027 school year. Go Pirates! 💙🏴‍☠️

Missing your projects you made last year? Good news! They are here, have been to the fair and are ready to for you to take home! Projects will be available to pick up all of next week (Monday to Friday)! A great time to get them is Monday during our open house - come get a meal and your projects!

Any projects left here after next Friday, will become property of the ag department.
