Despite the cold dreary day Hankinson Public School District seniors went to Wahpeton to do some community service!!!! We started the day at the Leach Home helping them pull weeds and clean up outside their building!!! We then headed to the Zoo to help clean out the kangaroo enclosure and put down new sand for them!!! We headed back to Hankinson to join the Juniors at the Legion site cleaning up for Memorial Day and hanging banners for the Park Board!!!! I didn’t get many pictures other than the zoo, but it was a great day of giving back to our communities!!!!

****** NO STUDENTS WERE ACTUALLY HURT DURING THIS MOCK CASUALTY***** It is all makeup and props!!!!!

Mrs. Cary Wertz from Southeast Region Career & Technology Center conducted a mock casualty at Hankinson Public School District this afternoon!!!!!! Students enrolled in her Emergency Medical Services class got to practice the skills they have learned this year with a hands on "emergency." This was a part of their final for the year! Thank you Mrs. Wertz for going the extra miles to keep our students engaged with real life opportunities!!!!!!
