First Baptist Playschool is a Christian Preschool,
providing a nurturing and supportive environment
that encourages the development of the whole child; mentally,
emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. Within this
atmosphere of Christian love and support, it is our goal that each
child may learn to develop a positive self-image, problem solving
skills, consideration of others, and

a sense of security and
confidence as he/she grows day by day in awarness of God's love. At First Baptist Playschool, chikdren are provided ample opportunity
to strenghentheir verbal, mental, social and physical skills through
play. Play is the primary mode of self-expression and learning for
young children, and the way in which they interpret their surrounding
world. All activities selected are developmentally appropriate for 3, 4,
& 5 year old children. The process through with the children participate
is emphasized, rather than the end product. Children have many
opportunities to make choices, which conveys to them that their
feelings, thoughts, and emotions are worthwhile. They also gain
confidence in decision making, which provides motivation for future
learning. At First Baptist Playschool, we introduce to the children the concept
of our Heavenly Father as a loving God who has made and cares
for each one of us. Bible stories, songs, and Bible verses are used
to convey this message to the children in a simple and
age-appropriate manner. We believe that this basic spritual
development is fundamantal to each child.

Plan and implement daily activities. Position hours, 7:30am until 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. Must have 12 or more Child Development units, completed 150 hours working in a licensed child care facility. Must work well with others and be willing to follow instruction. Applications may be picked up at First Baptist Church office, 9125 13 1/2 Avenue, Hanford between hours of 8:30 am and 4:30pm. Applications need to be turned in by Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Please include lesson plans for 2 days, one day including a bible story. For questions, message or call Tami, 584-6644 ext.110.
